Is Patch 22573 - SIMS Re-index Patch viewable in SOLUS3

Hello,

After each termly SIMS upgrade, we have been applying the reindex Patch 22573 to hopefully improve SIMS' performance. Our IT manager says it is not showing in SOLUS 3 despite our Local Authority SIMS support team saying they have released it to our school. Does patch 22573 no longer show in SOLUS3? Must this patch now be applied manually and no longer via SOLUS3?

It's been a while since I used SIMS but I seem to think I always just ran the patch manually and never via SOLUS.

It was a while back, but we used the reindex patch through solus. A support agent had to assign the patch to us first though so it would show up Solus (the agent we had left it active if we ever wanted to use it again). I'd get the SIMS support to double check they've assigned it to you. Edited April 3, 2024 by Rob_D

If someone releases it to you (ESS or your support unit) it will appear in SOLUS now

There's a few settings in SOLUS that might need tweaking (like show all updates tickbox in 'Update Library).

 

Also make sure you've manually checked for updates if the scheduled check hasn't run yet (although ours is every hour), have 'Auto download' ticked (be aware of this taking up space with updates you don't need though) and maybe change the dropdown to 'the beginning'.

 

Edit: Just looked on ours and once 'Show all updates' was ticked I found the patch... we had it released to us in 2017 lol! But I was still able to download it and deploy...
