sigma Posted April 25, 2024 Posted April 25, 2024 I can access it without any problems. I have known it to be faster, but its perfectly useable for us at the moment.
andy_b Posted April 25, 2024 Posted April 25, 2024 Anybody else having issues trying to access Netsweeper? Everytime I try to access it it just seems to fail. Can't login and the agent seems to not connect correctly. 1
Captain_carter1423 Posted May 7, 2024 Posted May 7, 2024 Any alternative suppliers for connectivity? I can't deal with the lack of after sales communication. Im guessing its because when it goes slow for me it goes slow for everyone and they get battered with tickets. regardless there has to be a alternative people have had good support with?

Wave9, Exa Networks are a couple of others. 2
sigma Posted May 7, 2024 Posted May 7, 2024 Might this be contributing to the performance issues? https://www.edugeek.net/forums/cloud-services/237958-netsweeper-configuration-mat.html#post2036558

No general speed issues atm. I've sent you a pm
gpjt Posted June 4, 2024 Posted June 4, 2024 Is there anyone on this thread who can confirm how we would know whether we are on the main connection or on a back up line with SBB? Other than doing speedtests indicating speed issues is there another way? I've asked the question of SBB and rarely get an answer or can you plug in a laptop to port 1 and assign a static IP.......

Physically pull the cable out of the main line, see if you still work
WannabrewUK Posted June 4, 2024 Posted June 4, 2024 You should be able to see which port the traffic is on on your microtik router
gpjt Posted June 4, 2024 Posted June 4, 2024 How? Just by looking at the flashing lights or access onto the router? We don't currently have access login credentials to it and were told they don't hand it out.

We don't currently have access login credentials to it and were told they don't hand it out. Our Microtik has a little touch screen display, so we can see on there. It shows traffic on whichever port we want to look at.

gpjt Posted June 21, 2024 Posted June 21, 2024 (edited) I have 5 sites on SBB. Anyone else's down at the moment? Presume it's Netsweeper again being as our VOIP phones still work? Edited June 21, 2024 by gpjt
themightymrp Posted June 21, 2024 Posted June 21, 2024 We've had intermittent drop outs of connectivity for the past 2 weeks. I keep chasing the open ticket I have but haven't really been told much. Once suggested that we were maxing out our line?? Given that we are 3 whole year groups short at the minute, I'd be very surprised.

I can login to the Netsweeper Portal but have no connection to the Policy Servers, so no Category Lookups or Trace requests. Edited June 21, 2024 by sigma

There's been a failure on one of the Netsweeper inline servers we have. Comms about to go out and will be on our hub as usual. I can't say much more than that at the moment thanks Dave 1

SchoolsBroadband Posted June 21, 2024 Posted June 21, 2024 The issue should now have been resolved around 15 mins ago. Please check the hub for further updates. Thanks Dave
