FN-GM Posted July 22, 2008 Posted July 22, 2008 Just having ago on my new toy, 24", 2.8GHZ Core 2 Duo, 4GB Ram iMac. I love it! (Sorry Matt) Z
FN-GM Posted July 22, 2008 Author Posted July 22, 2008 Nice... how cool are those new keyboards I thought it would be naff but i really like it! No you're not! Enjoy! Ok, you got me im not
localzuk Posted July 22, 2008 Posted July 22, 2008 I use one of the new keyboards here and find it to be the best keyboard I've used. Typing becomes almost effortless! Wish I had the money to buy a 24" imac at home though
elsiegee40 Posted July 22, 2008 Posted July 22, 2008 Ok, you got me im not Matt will be giving you negative rep if you're not careful!
FN-GM Posted July 22, 2008 Author Posted July 22, 2008 do you have a picture of the system for us bud, Camera is charging, one should be coming soon! 1
DMcCoy Posted July 22, 2008 Posted July 22, 2008 One sat in front of me. I use the wireless kb 2 keys short of perfection. # and delete.
localzuk Posted July 22, 2008 Posted July 22, 2008 One sat in front of me. I use the wireless kb 2 keys short of perfection. # and delete. Both work fine - Delete is under the fn key in the middle and # is alt 3. Unless you're talking about the old style?
FN-GM Posted July 22, 2008 Author Posted July 22, 2008 do you have a picture of the system for us bud, here we go....
HodgeHi Posted July 22, 2008 Posted July 22, 2008 oh, tis a sweet machine. I do like the iMacs. I am looking to get one for my son, as his is slowing down a little now The new keyboards are pretty cool and nice to the touch although i do have one question though. How's the response of the caps lock key? Nice an easy or do you need to hit it slightly harder than the rest? Just wondering as i have two at work and both need a bit of a firmer "press" as it were on the caps lock. With 4GB it should fly pretty nicely too. No green face of jealousy in the emoticons.

Haptic Posted July 22, 2008 Posted July 22, 2008 here we go.... very nice chap , a little cramped but cosey im sure
Domino Posted July 22, 2008 Posted July 22, 2008 There was a firmware update for the keyboards a while back, that seemed to sort out a couple of iffy bits. but anyway...caps lock? pfffft
DMcCoy Posted July 22, 2008 Posted July 22, 2008 Both work fine - Delete is under the fn key in the middle and # is alt 3. Unless you're talking about the old style? Alt 3 will be useful! There's nothing under the function key on the aluminium wireless one, plus I note that new ones are labled Delete when mine is currently a backspace :/
mattx Posted July 22, 2008 Posted July 22, 2008 Matt will be giving you negative rep if you're not careful! I'm not bothered, I'm still cross about that bleeding cabinet falling on me !!
KarlGoddard Posted July 22, 2008 Posted July 22, 2008 you do know you don't really need a 24" imac don't you...... whats wrong with an Advent Celeron running Windows Me???? I'll tell you what I'll take it off your hands for £50, and I'll even come round and collect it....
FN-GM Posted July 22, 2008 Author Posted July 22, 2008 very nice chap , a little cramped but cosey im sure A new desk will be following shortly.....
