ICT Direct - Cheap & cheerful! - Have bought quite a few 8th gen machines from them to get rid of some of our non Windows 11 compatible machines.

I looked at Pure IT when finding desktops recently - They don't seem very good value compared to ICT Direct. Although we had to go with a 12-month warranty just to keep within a certain budget, the Optiplex 3060 on there is still more expensive with a 120GB SSD & 2-year warranty compared with ICT Direct's 240GB SSD & 3-year warranty

Other companies you could use whose prices are also very close to ICT Direct's are below.

Stone Group

Black Barn Computers

Millgate

Just wanted to pop in and say that we're on Everything ICT too!

It's great if you need to use it, but they do charge us commission for the privilage of using the framework, which will push prices up a little.

We do itemise this seperately though so you can see it.

Contact them directly, especially if you're buying in quantity as the price on the website won't be the price you pay. IME with companies we have asked to quote we have paid less for a PC with a 5 year warranty from them than others have quoted us for for 1 year or 3 year.

Banned by our LEA. How do you get round that?

Our finance dep are happy (ish) with me using our school ebay account to buy things on, I don't get involved any further than that. However I mostly buy from IT recycling companies on there so I sometimes contact them directly and arrange for them to be added to our suppliers (which I know eBay rather frowns on).

There are huge savings to be had if you are careful what you choose, I recently replaced an aging IT suite with 30 X W11 ready PC's I got for £800.
