  1. Happily I have got rid of Inventry but before that I would continually disable TeamViewer autostart, which did then create the need for us to enable it when support was required which was annoying, and they would also re-enable autostart despite being asked not to. Super easy way for anyone to remote into your network if the core wasn't running. If we still had it, I would VLAN them off and insist staff can only access the console via the web gui so no direct network access was needed to limit risk.
  2. Was a long term Plusnet customer and very happy/no issues but moved to YouFibre as it was the same price and got the symmetrical download/upload speeds. Also have a few business sites with YouFibre connections and no issues.
  3. Only if you don't specify DNS servers in the VPN setting in my experience.
  4. Avoid the wifi/switches like the plague unless you enjoy misery and endless problems.
  5. You can get the current version here - http://www.paxton.info/1438 You'll probably have to 'reinstate' all the doors afterwards.
  6. Chrome OS flex, they work great.
  7. I tell site staff they could set the fire alarm off briefly if there is ever a controller failure to release the doors if they can't get access (although never happened yet touch wood). Are your controllers not wired through relays to release them?
  8. This is the first time I've ever known an issue in 3 or so years of using it. I'm a big fan.
  9. It seems like this is only effecting the smart DNS address' and not the guest DNS. I've changed our forwarders for now which has got things working again, we use the browser extension anyway on all managed devices so the DNS filtering on these is more of a backup if that fails.
  10. +1 for plusnet and their £5 one off charge for a static.
  11. The user doesn't have an app assigned to them that is trying to install when they sign in?
  12. I've seen this before and it was a web filtering issue same as @steveg
  13. Ah yes okay got them, each policy has a 'protected EAP' but when I click edit it says "a certificate could not be found that can be used with this extensible authentication protocol". Do you think I need to generate a new certificate?
  14. I had a BYOD wifi network setup using RADUIS authentication, so users could connect using their AD credentials. This has stopped working, I belive the certificate that was being used has expired (as I think the same cert was being used for something else which stopped working at the same time, but that was been resolved another way). I also radius for the guest wifi log in (via a splash page) and that is still working. Abit vague I know, not my specialty area. I'm struggling to find in the NPS settings where you choose a cert to use... If any experts could point me in the right direction that would be great.
  15. I'd try a network-USB adapter and see what happens.
  16. I think DalekSec means it's not an IT job to filter the data, and it is the DPO who should do this, that's how I read it?
  17. Thanks, no it's not me who has to look through the data (luckily!).
  18. And the ACU's reinstating after...
  19. I've been having a go with the trial of purview... got about 10,000 items come back in the search. How do you go about reviewing all this data for relevance and removing anything out of scope?
  20. Yes iOS lets users view the key, unless depoyed through an MDM then it doesn't (in our case anyway). For andriod devices managed in Intune there is 'Wi-Fi setting changes' which I have set to 'Block' which stops the key being viewed.
  21. If it can't match the user to a policy the default policy applies (unless you have 'all users need to sign in' ticked). If you tick that, if it doesn't know who the user is it will ask them to sign in with O365/Google and then it will apply the correct policy, instead of them getting the default, asume the users are all synced. Are you using PAC or browser extension?
  22. I thuought it only shows the key if cmd is run as admin? Could you just disallow cmd for users?
  23. I just use App locker, does everything I need it too. I tried a 3rd party once but it caused loads of problems, blocking certain windows updates and drivers installing ect.
  24. They will quote directly if they're not in warranty, but it usually comes out financially unviable and isn't far off buying a new screen.
