Hi All,

After some advice if anyone has seen the same issues as we are experiencing, after securing senso for our secondary school, the computing teachers are stating it's unusable to broadcast due to slow speeds/lagging. We have opened all ports etc, but there is still a considerable lag when you start a broadcast, and then during the broadcast.

Has anyone seen this before and any advise will be gratefully received

Yes. The broadcast module is useless. Thankfully I only have one teacher that uses it, i setup Veyon for that teacher to use broadcast instead.

Senso were working on an alternative to their broadcast system but it didn't work out.

I second senso broadcast useless. Having support 2 schools with it. Both report the same symptoms. Senso respond with not having any issues relating to lag. Thought the lag was proxy related. Remove the proxy out the equation and still experience lag with class related instructions like broadcast.

How strange, dont see any issues here, Use it quite alot, things such as Teams assemblies to students sat near machines.

I can only pin it down to us using Securly, and any Senso connections are not proxied and go direct.

We were going out and back but i have put a DNS server local in place to troubleshoot still experiencing issues.

Also of their support documentation does specify if you are going out and back they cant guarantee anything. Have you successfully made the "relay" notification disappear with your DNS entry?
