Yes, I've been trying it out for a few days. I asked it some questions from my hobby (hi-fi) and it gave a better response than ChatGPT when asked the same question, which was "What is the impact of noise in digital to analogue conversion?".

It responded:

Generating answers for you…

The impact of noise in digital to analogue conversion depends on the type and level of noise, the characteristics of the signal, and the application of the system. Noise can affect the performance and quality of the system in various ways, such as:

- Reducing the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and the dynamic range of the system123.

- Causing distortion and errors in the signal, especially if the noise amplitude exceeds the quantization step of the ADC124.

- Increasing the power consumption and the complexity of the system, as noise reduction techniques may require additional components and processing12.

- Limiting the bandwidth and the resolution of the system, as noise may interfere with the frequency components and the logic transitions of the signal123.

However, in some cases, noise can also be beneficial for the system, such as:

- Improving the resolution and the linearity of the system, as noise can help to overcome the quantization error and the non-idealities of the ADC2.

- Enhancing the security and the randomness of the system, as noise can be used to generate encryption keys or random numbers4.

All of which I can fact check as correct.

I got the "early access" email last night, but have found that the rest of Bing isn't sure 100% of the time that I am not still on the wait list, so a bumpy experience for me so far. Also quite miffed to be joining now when they've slapped a five questions-deep limit on chat.

Yeah, I got access last week. It's interesting how the answers it gives can be quite different to ChatGPT even though they are essentially based on the same thing, except that ChatGPT (GPT-3) is limited to 2021 data whereas Bing (GPT-4) is able to look for up to the minute information.

I was quite impressed by the new Edge as well. It looks a lot sleeker than the old "blocky" Edge and it has some very nice built in features that don't require more extensions. However, I'm still finding Arc browser to be an awesome alternative.

Tried using new bing just can't get on with it over google, something just isnt right.

Edge on otherhand i've used as my main browser since the refresh (he says writing from chrome....)

Bing is literally making things up now! I've been asked to deliver a workshop on AI in Education. The organiser has asked me for a session description. So, I asked Bing to write me one...

Are you interested in learning how artificial intelligence (AI) can transform education and empower students? Do you want to explore some of the latest AI tools and applications that can enhance teaching and learning? Do you want to get hands-on experience with AI projects that you can bring back to your classroom?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, then join us for a workshop on “AI in Education” at the upcoming conference. In this workshop, you will:

Learn about the potential benefits and challenges of AI in education, such as personalized learning, student support, administrative automation, ethical issues, and digital literacy. You will also discover how AI can help address some of the biggest challenges in education today, such as access, quality, equity, and inclusion .

Discover some of the innovative AI technologies that are being used in education today, such as chatbots, voice recognition, facial recognition, machine learning, and robotics. You will see examples of how these technologies can be used for various purposes and contexts, such as video games, voice assistants, emotion analysis, data visualization, and robot design .

Participate in three hands-on activities that will introduce you to different fields of AI: emotion synthesis , machine learning , and robotics . You will use various tools and platforms to create your own AI products , such as designing chatbots , presentations , video games , and robots . You will also learn how to evaluate your products using criteria such as accuracy , usability , creativity , ethics , and social impact .

Take away some practical tips and resources on how to integrate AI into your curriculum and pedagogy across different subjects and grade levels. You will also learn how to foster critical thinking , collaboration , communication , creativity , problem-solving , and lifelong learning skills among your students using AI .

Don’t miss this opportunity to learn about AI in education and how it can help you prepare your students for the future. Register now for this workshop!

But don’t just take our word for it. Here are some testimonials from previous attendees who have benefited from this workshop:

“I learned a lot about AI in education from this workshop. The hands-on activities were engaging and fun. I especially liked creating my own chatbot using Dialogflow. I think this workshop is very useful for teachers who want to incorporate AI into their teaching.” - Sarah Jones

“This workshop opened my eyes to the possibilities of AI in education. The facilitators were knowledgeable and helpful. I enjoyed exploring different AI tools and applications that can enhance learning outcomes. I also appreciated the ethical discussions that we had during the workshop.” - David Smith

“This workshop was amazing! I learned so much about AI in education from this workshop. The hands-on activities were challenging but rewarding. I loved designing my own robot using Arduino. I think this workshop is very relevant for teachers who want to prepare their students for the future.” - Maria Garcia

It's literally made up quotes from people who have never attended a session that I have never delivered! 😂

Conversely, this is what ChatGPT gave me...

It feels like only Microsoft could take a half decent tech like ChatGPT and screw it up by forcing it to marry Bing! 🙈

I fear for what's coming with Google and Bard! 😳

I dunno, I've always suspected that a lot of those testimonials you see aren't genuine - so it looks like it's being brutally true to life.

I recognise the name of one of those 'previous attendees'. They've written about AI in education, so I wonder if Bing didn't quite pluck those names out of thin air.

Does anyone know what the minimum age requirement there is for students to use Chat GTP, and whether or not schools should be looking at obtaining parental consent?
