T3CH1 Posted December 5, 2022 Posted December 5, 2022 Hi, i work in a primary school in London, does anyone know a company that will collect redundant hardware for free? Thx
6Foot2 Posted December 5, 2022 Posted December 5, 2022 We used RecycledIT: Link 1: RecycledIT They took a few of our boards away, but they did stipulate that we had to have other IT waste to take away at the same time, to make it a worthwhile trip for them. T3CH1 Posted December 5, 2022 Author Posted December 5, 2022 Thank you so much, i contacted loads and cheapest was for £300 +VAT
HarryMonkey Posted December 5, 2022 Posted December 5, 2022 Enviro Electronics https://enviroelectronics.co.uk/ 1
JATSO Posted December 5, 2022 Posted December 5, 2022 They tend to charge for the boards as there isn't much recoverable from them mainly plastic but if you have enough kit some will take them. We were charged £112 for taking the boards. https://www.weee-recycleuk.co.uk/ https://www.torecycle.co.uk/ 1
HarryMonkey Posted December 5, 2022 Posted December 5, 2022 I must admit I've never been charged by enviro for anything they've taken.
JATSO Posted December 5, 2022 Posted December 5, 2022 I must admit I've never been charged by enviro for anything they've taken. My bad, I should have said "some collectors" will charge and didn't mean enviro. 1
3s-gtech Posted December 5, 2022 Posted December 5, 2022 They don't really want IWBs! Shame I have a lorry load of them to get rid of in the next few months Had to pay something like £50 each for the last couple to go.
StevieM Posted December 5, 2022 Posted December 5, 2022 I must admit I've never been charged by enviro for anything they've taken. +1 for enviroelectronics. They'll take just about anything apart from fluorescent tubes. No charges, no minimum requirements for collection. They even provide free wheelie bins for you to store your WEEE in. 1
