Hi, i work in a primary school in London, does anyone know a company that will collect redundant hardware for free? Thx

They took a few of our boards away, but they did stipulate that we had to have other IT waste to take away at the same time, to make it a worthwhile trip for them.

They tend to charge for the boards as there isn't much recoverable from them mainly plastic but if you have enough kit some will take them.

 

We were charged £112 for taking the boards.

My bad, I should have said "some collectors" will charge and didn't mean enviro.

They don't really want IWBs! Shame I have a lorry load of them to get rid of in the next few months

I must admit I've never been charged by enviro for anything they've taken.

+1 for enviroelectronics. They'll take just about anything apart from fluorescent tubes. No charges, no minimum requirements for collection. They even provide free wheelie bins for you to store your WEEE in.

Promethean collect themselves too - i don't think there is a charge.
