Anyone else noticing the performance of Bromcom has been deteriorating over the last 6 months?

We've regularly seen performance issues with staff unable to navigate Bromcom after login, waiting for server, pages not loading etc and the larger the school, the more issues faced.

Hi Theblacksheep

Sorry to hear you are having performance problems. Have you raised a case with our support team? If you have please drop the case number to me in a PM and I will check it for you.

Performance OK.

Support seems to have dipped dramatically.

I've a HIGH priority call that's almost been open a week without resolution and I'm having to chase.

I have other calls open that only seem to get progressed if I push via their chat tool or phone them up (which can often mean staying on hold for 20 minutes)

Hiya Kennysarmy

We are experiencing longer wait times than usual, but we should be able to get responses to your cases quickly. Can you let me know your school ID I can check on these for you.

Major service status issue today "resolved after 34 mins" is not resolved.

Starting the year off with staff questioning "sims has so many faults, but at least it wasnt down as much as bromcom"

We are in the same boat. Fortunately we have a disaster response plan (Period 1 emailed nightly, parental contact information etc.) which will allow us to function - but it isn't great.

And same applies to us - outages in the past 3 or so years have been rare and performance fine at other times.

It's causing massive headaches here - particularly this morning with regards attendance. Why do Bromcom do this? Give us a whole new UI when there are already so many open cases about the responsiveness of the system as a whole.

Fix the root issues, then look at cosmetics. But inform people first! That would be nice!

I'm usually a calm one but we have seen consistent issues since returning this month.

I like the new UI but, as you said.. we didn't get told it was coming.. and shock to the system for people that instantly panic when something looks different.

I really hope Bromcom are learning from these problems and improving the system to cut these out..

I'm starting to sway toward.... is this a mistake.. leaving SIMs..

Agreed. I have to say, normally I do like the Bromcom system. I'm pretty good at finding my way around a lot of the parts (strange for the Network Manager but there you go), but since starting back this term it's not been a good experience. The daily slowness in the morning and the constant moaning from admin teams and teachers doesn't paint Bromcom in a good light. I've recommended this system to people! Now I feel like I shouldn't have cheered so loud

Apparently Attendance is fixed now (they've closed our ticket anyway), now need to check if we can log behaviour events again as that was broken for us after the facelift.

*nope, logging behaviour is still broken for us*
