I put 1password in place at work about a year and half ago. Works really well. We use a number of vaults, 2 main vaults that everyone can see and a few other vaults that are shared with a select few people only.

 

I move to Bitwarden for personal use after LastPass free was restricted to either mobile or PC. Works OK, as a few others have said, auto fill on mobile isn't great but most of the time it does the job

I started with using KeePass. Hard to beat it for value for money. But I found it annoying having to use a laptop and not being able to get passwords online / via a mobile or tablet. So we invested in BitWarden Enterprise.

For those using more browser-focussed password managers, are you still able to use them just as easily with applications other than web browsers, such as RDP or SSH clients? Long time KeePass user here and I kinda like that it's a standalone thing with separate db files. There are decent mobile clients and working with db(s) held on cloud storage has worked well.

I use KeePass at work and as previously stated, Dashlane as a personal manager. Dashlane has a browser plugin and a web based app from which you can view all of your usernames and passwords and copy them to the clipboard, just like I can with KeePass at work. They used to have a standalone desktop app but they deprecated it, and in all fairness the web app works just as well.

Okay, ta. So with Dashlane, you'd need to have a web browser open to access items? I use the auto-type function in KeePass a lot (automated alt+tab copy paste routines to populate and submit login forms in another app) and am wondering if that level of integration is still possible from a browser-based manager.

Depends on the system. I seem to recall LastPass has a PC application that can do that. I never used it though as I always have a browser open and I just copy and paste.

Just the IT team.

Just IT. Staff save passwords in edge.

That way if they use another machine or we wipe the laptop.. just a case of signing in and then woola!

We deploy KeePass to staff machines, so we have some teachers using it, too. On the proviso that their db files are their responsibility.

We use Lastpass in our team at work

 

Personally I use 1Password (family's version). I used to use Lastpass years and years ago and then move to Bitwarden when they got brought by GoTo. Then more recently I moved to 1Password as my Wife and older child find it much more friendly that Bitwarden was.

If i wasn't so used to it and couldn't be bothered to change, i'd go with bitwarden though. Prefer it from what i've used of it. Lastpass works really well though.
