elsiegee40 Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 We never did find the TV remote when my daughter was going through her "posting" phase aged about 18 months. I suspect it got posted in the kitchen swing bin. I was regularly rescuing clothes pegs and toys from there! It is lovely when they start walking... but there are days when you yearn for when you could leave them lying on a mat on the floor with some toys and they'd still be there 2 minutes later!
chrbb Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 I'm sat here smiling full of memories. It's lovely seeing them take those first steps and buying the first pair of shoes. Time to put those ornaments away - you should be able to put them back in ooh about 15 years or so!

I think there might be a short period when they are about 8 or 9 when you can put the ornaments back, but then they get very big and clumsy and have lots of similar friends! (well if it is a boy, that is) My hall tends to be full of very large trainers belonging to all sorts of people that don't live here:)

I'm struggling too... ! Sometimes, I think it would be easier if we moved into Asda, surely my son couldn't manage to leave me with no food then!

Then I had sponge pudding & custard" Needless to say, he still ate everything in sight when he got home!

wesleyw Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 Mine's only just walking now and he'll only do it with something to steady himself banisters when climbing the stairs. 17 months old doesn't seem too bothered about walking would rather crawl at high speed instead

Gatt Posted June 17, 2008 Author Posted June 17, 2008 (edited) Daniel' still crawling most of the time, but if you put him on his feet and show him something to aim for (usually hayley or I with a toy) he'll walk towards us for it! john Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 Urgh little children / toddlers hidious things if there your own, far better when they belong to others and you can go aww look cute and then return them to there owners Perhapse we can do an Edugeek Rent-a-child scheme to go along with the hardware rental I bet witch would love to rent her teenagers out complete with huge trainers in the hallway and empty cupboards.
