These are brand new and boxed 27" 1080p IPS monitors with USB-C laptop docking built-in! http://www.ict-direct.co.uk/media/edugeek/E273.jpg They're absolutely stunning, allow you to connect all your peripherals, networking, second screen etc directly to the monitor and then plug your laptop in over USB-C. Perfect when desk space is low! They also have a webcam and inbuild microphone array (but sadly no speakers). How much are these magnificent creations I hear you ask? Well they should be £500, brand new. You can find them for around £400 if you look hard enough. But these beauties, currently taking up 12 pallets in my warehouse, are just £200 each! They're lovely devices! I think I'm going to have one sent home for me to play with. 2

This is a decent option, particularly for those with USB laptops and you wanted to do away with desktops for some admin staff for example. I'd argue 27" is too large for full HD but maybe ideal for someone struggling with sight. The panel is awesome quality too. 1

They're rock solid, really nice units. 27" is on the cusp of what'd good for 1080p. I reckon they'll look ace though! We got 250 of these, but we've sold 15 already today. Who knows how long they'll be around

dmj Posted June 28, 2021 Posted June 28, 2021 Had mine for a month before I realised it has a builtin popup webcam, which saves me rigging up my phone for meetings. The docking station feature is excellent, it's great to be able to plug my macbook in and carry on using a mechanical keyboard and proper mouse!

Norphy Posted July 7, 2021 Posted July 7, 2021 Looking at that page, there is one thing that stands out: The newer panel has a 6 bit + FRC panel, while the older one is a real 8 bit panel. While both claim to be able to display 16.7million colours, the 6 bit panel does it by dithering. If you're doing work which requires colour precision, the older panel might be the better choice. 1
chazzy2501 Posted July 15, 2021 Posted July 15, 2021 I got 5 of these today! mostly ok. 1080p on 27" is a little soft. The camera is ok, the base is super heavy and the packaging is humungous! The monitor has built in sound but no speakers! This can be annoying to explain as a user can't hear anything when they dock! Teams luckily doesn't default to it. I used the DisplayPort output to run a VGA display (with adapter) as a 3rd screen which was cool. I realise I should pair it with a wireless keyboard and mouse to make it really tidy (dongle NOT Bluetooth). These are actually going to save money as I install these in SLT offices and replace their 2nd PC.
