Dust blower?

Can anyone recommend a dust blowing machine? We're wondering if something might be better than lots of spray air?

We've seen this https://www.killerbrands.co.uk/products/computer-data-vacs/datavac-pro-safe-esd but it is rather expensive.

 

We've got a lot of computers suffering some dust - so seems worth the time (perhaps a summer holiday job) to take them apart and get rid of the dust...

We found the 'air in a can' very expensive.. as some of our PC's almost needed a full can to do the job properly... so we used a similar thing to this.

It's a tad noisy, but on a long lead its fine and good for ceiling projectors to clean the filters as well.

i've always just used a standard vac borrowed off cleaners. never had a dead pc yet

We use the same - it does need mains power, so a single-gang extension cable to go with it might come in handy, too.

We use this. Not going to be as powerful as some suggestions but it's cordless and it's very convenient.

Datavac is all metal, has a long lead and quick clean filter. The three quarter horse power means it shouldn't be turned on without holding it (or it spins like a fire hose). Also that ball in my video is away from the camera and is about 4ft from the blower.

Compucleaner here too, on the flip side - apart from a henry what vacuums do you all use ? I can't imagine using a dust blower on some of our PC's....

I've been using the DataVac ED500 (as seen in @chazzy2501's video) for several years and it does a great job blowing away any dust. It's the same make as the one you linked to but it's about 1/4 the price. It only blows, though, it doesn't vacuum so, as @nwkeene says, remember to wear a mask!

Cheapest solution so far? With the current weather, just take lids off and let mother nature do the job - let's hope June offers a natural drying solution!

Air compressor would be my option, find get a good result providing its not too powerful.

I have AM3 mobos with tiny overburdened CPU heatsinks that get the thickest, greasy dust wedged behind the puny fan, this isn't gonna cut it

I got one of these, as it is rechargable. It works well enough for cleaning out PC's and projectors. It is particularly useful for projectors as you do not need to keep plugging it in.
