Just completed a burpees challenge of as many in 1 min Monday, 2 mins Tuesday all the way to Sunday with a lovely 7 mins and added a HIIT session afterwards but only Mon - Sat. Sunday I achieved 82 and the wife did 101 !

This week is a squat challenge starting with 50 and going up increments of 25 until Sunday with 200 as fast as you can. So far I have done 51 secs Monday (then 4 rounds of 3 pressups, 6 KB swings and 9 sit ups within 12 mins so there is a chance for rest between sets) and today 1min 20.

7 minutes of burpees? I'd be sick from having my head down for that long

I did just do FitnessBlender's 1000 calorie workout though - that was a challenge!

Wait, 7 continuous minutes of burpees? What special sort of hell is that? After 50 my HR is usually through the roof, to the point of slumping in a heap.

My lockdown circuits haven’t had more than 25/1 min in one block, or 200 total!

Still plugging on with four days a week - circuits, sprint speed endurance, weights and sprints. Keeping the routine going, but my ankles are really bearing the brunt now.

Won’t stop me yet.

Got a Teams meeting tomorrow due to GP bullying me into a pre-diabetic prevention thingy whatsit course

I presume I can manage a Teams meeting

not done anything like that due to being retired -

but current stats are

last GPO checkup said I had lost a stone in weight - WHAT - seems the pie and chips diet actually works!!!!

and since then my exercise levels have increased to 2 hours every day I can reasonably go out on my bike

we shall see what the 'course says - but I reckon that if I keep doing some form of exercise for 1.5 to 2 hours a day then I am probably doing what I can

better check I have a mic and headphone for tomorrow

it would be embarrassing it I fail a Teams meeting due to techy stuff!!!

The 7mins of burpees is definitely NOT fun!

100 squats today in 1min 42. 75 squats yesterday in 1min 20 and last night was 6 rounds of 6 single hand snatch per arm (12kg kettlebell) then 10 burpees with jump over kettlebell then 50 skips (I am rubbish at skipping) then a min rest. Tonight its a Zoom class with friends and one of the guys leads it (maths teacher !).

I think I did about 10 squats in 3 minutes today!

Just getting into exercises after my accident. So pleased I've still got strength for press ups and been able to do squats this week which is normally do one, rest legs then do another and so on!

Didn't get a place in the Virgin Marathon :getmecoat: but still planning on doing a 26.2 mile on the day. Got up to week 12 of a 16week sub 9min plan a few weeks back then got injured.

Last run of the plan was a 20 Mile run @9:30min/mile which was no problem 2 years back when I was able to do a 20M sub 9min mile after building up without any drama (less than 1 year after minor heart surgery) and felt on top of the world afterwards but that was before COVID. Oh well many people have been worse off with it. I'm not out of breath and heart rate is around what it used to be but just not able to keep up the pace which I used to have.

Now with the Snow I have been relegated to doing some indoor work but Friday hoping to do a 5 mile.

Yeah I applied straight away for the Virtual. One thing I guess, no travel concerns as I have a few decent enough 26 mile routes from my house and at least I won't be jostled at the beginning unless there are other people starting at 6:00am in my area, lol.

Will miss the atmos though.

I had a charity place for last year and ended up doing the virtual race, I could have a place this year but pushed it back to 2023. Glad I did as with covid about and having my accident I dont think I could of gone through with this year!

Good thread. (just spotted)

I kept myself active in lockdown 1 with some running, but my challenge since lockdown 3 started is to complete a virtual journey from Land's End to John o' Groats!

It's 1083 miles and I set myself the target of doing it before my June golf trip (hopefully that goes ahead - only to Nottinghamshire)

Ok so last night was a punisher of 900 exercises broken up of course of 100 star jumps, 100 push ups, 100 squat jumps, 100 crunches, 100 2 arm shoulder press with 12kg KB, 100 reverse crunch, 100 upright rows and each leg 50 split squats with foot behind on chair. Then this morning 125 squats, my legs are ruined :)
