I'm hoping that the collective hive mind may have come across this previously . . . I'm looking for USB B Port Blockers for printers etc . . .

We've discovered that someone has been using their own USB cable to print directly to the printers

I can find USB A and USB C but the only USB B I can find is mega expensive.

Any thoughts?

If you're not going to use them, couldn't you just fill the port with something like mouldable glue?

Unfortunately the printers are leased so not an option.

If its a network printer can you just log into the interface and disable usb printing?

Simple! Why didn't I think of it thanks.

If the disable doesn't work could you glue a panel over it rather than jamming the port?, I have done that with silicone sealant as the glue as it will stick well but just pulls off but would probably deter someone enough and not damage it.

You could also hot glue gun a cable into the port and lock the end away / fill that with glue perhaps? The hot glue gun glue pulls off so again could be removed at end of use.

The firm you lease from may also have some ideas / agree to work with you on the issue if you have a good relationship with them

For extra fun, do this while the cable is plugged into the printer. +5v meets ground. You won't have to worry about them using the USB ports any more!

*don't do this. Nor do it with PoE network cables...
