As the decision is yet to be made see if you can be involved in the procurement of the MSP you know what your school needs best. This will then allow you to better hold the MSP to account. The MSP are more likely to be up for your CPD which will benefit you longer term.

This caused us a frantic afternoon of password resets and some out of hours reconfiguration of the VPN tunnel to our Azure tenant. After their previous issues we had already retried use of their VPN for remote connections. I wouldn’t want to be an MSP trying to pick apart this issue.

Hi All, I'm struggling to find a clear answer that isn't aimed at home users. We've got a couple of Adobe apps that require sideloading in order to be installed.I'm feeling like this is just the beginning. I'm concerned about the security implications of enabling side loading. Has anyone got any thoughts? We can push software out through InTune, but should we be leaving side loading enabled between? - Can anyone point to the best practice for this?

I’ve not been for a couple of years and it felt like AI was being put on the same product that was being sold pre AI. There were a couple of moments of enjoying asking various stands “Which bout of that is AI?” some couldn’t answer 😜

Is there anything that could be done within RADIUS? It’s a few years since I’ve played with UniFi and RADIUS

Do you have an Office 365 admin accout as well a normal user?
Sibrows replied to nicholab's topic in Cloud Services
Recently started a new role. Separate admin accounts were being used but email associated with those accounts was being missed. Don’t forget to forward the email to your normal mailbox! -
In a previous role I integrated netsupoort notify with paxton for most of what your after.

SCCM - Task Sequence "deployment not yet started" Please HELP
Sibrows replied to Newb's topic in O/S Deployment
It’s a few years since I’ve had reason to troubleshoot this kind of issue but I’ve seen issues like this when things when things aren’t done in 100% the right order. - Create package - Distribute package - Assign package I’ve previously burnt hours trying to troubleshoot this kind of thing. There is nothing stopping you creating an identical package with a different source folder to avoid waiting any effort you’ve already put in (as I’m keen to emphasise it’s 3 years since I’ve pushed anything out using SCCM). -
SCCM - Task Sequence "deployment not yet started" Please HELP
Sibrows replied to Newb's topic in O/S Deployment
It’s a few years since I’ve fought with SCCM this sounds like the content wasn't distributed before the package was assigned. You will have to start from scratch with the package. -
I installed a XG point to point wireless link to connect 4 classrooms that had been moved to portacabins over the summer it has been flawless. I’m a firm believer in you get what you pay for and to compare it to two access points isn’t fair compare it to digging a trench to get fibre out there and you’ve got a very cost effective and reliable solution.

As others have said Google Vault will provide the result your after but try and get the query to exclude bits to reduce the amount of info it returns. Frustratingly it will return either a pst or mbox file for every mailbox it finds results in. Having had 4 SARs this academic year with 10k+ emails returned for each I’m familiar with this issue. Happy to share some of the bits I’ve put together to reduce the time this takes

Further to this iFixit have recently published this blog post which some may find interesting: https://www.ifixit.com/News/69041/how-batteries-can-catch-fire-and-how-to-prevent-it

In the past 48 hours we've identified a batch of laptops where a number of the batteries have expanded to the point of the front of the cases have started unclipping. Now comes the question; how do others dispose of these batteries? Do you have an consideration for how these are stored while waiting for disposal?

In the past 6 months I attempted something similar rolling out consumer grade non-interactive TVs with Chromecasts. The big hang up from staff was the lack of freeze function. We’re now rolling out laser projectors as I want to avoid bulbs etc.

It’s a few years since I had a play with one but I seam to remember Cura did that.

Version of Windows? I.e. home vs Pro

Was in a very similar situation a few years back. I use a Mac as my daily driver and wouldn't change and we had iMacs in our Media, Music and Art subject areas. Trying to get them playing ball with annual software updates etc was turning into a real time suck. We ended up getting our reseller to host the Jamf instance for us which meant we didn't have to bare the upfront costs and their per-device charge allowed us to use them for 99% of the issues we had. Frustratingly I wouldn't recommend them at the moment as they allowed a lot of the talent behind the scenes to move on and the support level dipped as a result.

Hope you get it sorted ours died last October. Managed to convince Rukus to ship us a replacement.

If you have an existing OVS / EES agreement then its included in there. If not Amazon is probably your best punt
