Her response? "But it's radiation innit? Like the Hiroshima bomb?" I explained the difference between ionising and non-ionising radiation, but she still wasn't satisfied. She said she'd be "complaining to Ofsted and the Government". We (DHT and I) basically said that she can do that if she wants. Nothing ever came of it - I wonder why?

I was very, very tempted to go down that route - mention other things that she probably has that emit it, but she was acting erratically to the point that I was worried what would happen if I did! 1

In this case a hat (tin foil or otherwise) is very good advice.

In this case a hat (tin foil or otherwise) is very good advice.I tried a tin foil one but it was a bit hot. But yes covering up a good idea especially for those of that are follically challenged.

There wasn’t actually any fuel in the station at the time. They hadn’t finished building it 1

If I've learned anything from films and TV, it's that it's impossible to make covert technology that doesn't beep or flash little red lights. 3
