CCLI Email

Hello All

We have just recieved an email from CCLI wanting a list of all songs that have been used in assemblies etc, as i work at a non-religious school i did not think we would have to keep a list of songs played even if they do have some sort of religious context to them.

Am i right in thinking the copyright licenses provided to schools don't require a huge list of songs to be submitted to licensing bodies?

Every school has them, it's a bit of a misleading email and (in my opinion) a scam.

IMHO flippin' ridiculous, but:

Scam or do I need to deal with it?

We have just had a letter about this, I also thought it was scam.

 

However after a quick google - https://www.gov.uk/collective-worship-music-reproduction-licence

 

"...using CCLI’s CopyReport software to report all the songs that have been photocopied under your licence..."

 

Also must be a job for ICT as it is a web based form

I got one of these today, and called them it is only for Christian Songs only.
