The primary school I am at uses a 3rd party system to book the parents in for the parents evening slots, but they are having issues with it (parents evening is next week) and have asked if there are any other booking systems they can use.

The school already have G Suite and I am wondering if any of the apps could be used to let parents book the times they want and if so how would I go about setting this up?

Which Parents Evening booking system is it?

As for your question, it can be done and someone here may well point you in the direction of how to do it, but you may be running out of time to get it up and running and ironing out issues especially if Parents Evening is next week. You have so many variables to administer. Access, time slots, teachers, parents details, when teachers are free etc etc.

In theory each teacher could manage their own form... in theory...

I'm pretty sure there'll be API access to create / change forms - I wonder if there's a facility to add the choice eliminator add-on via API?

I've heard of folks using appointment slots to do it, but I have no experience with it.

I think our staff share a google sheet. A paper form is sent home and the parent selects 3 time slots in preference order, then the staff fill in the sheet and send back a paper form with their slot.

Its not high tech, but its the way they are comfortable with. I did manage to get them on google sheets so that's a step in the right direction.

TBH of parents evening is next week and you haven't got anything else in place is go for paper forms at this point. To test and deploy to parents is pushing it. Maybe even get pupils to go around and use sign up sheets.

For the record, I'm a big fan of online booking systems both as an administrator and a parent. We use http://www.parentseveningsystem.co.uk

From memory they offered us one fully featured evening as a trial if you did want to give it a go.

I think I'm too late here, but we use calend.ly, it links into a google calendar. You do need one account per teacher but for a small school that's not too difficult.

I tried that (choice eliminator) a while back and it worked in test but when parents hit it we found it couldn’t eliminate slots fast enough so ended up with multiple people booking the same slot
