alexknight Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 Hi Would you allow pupils on this website? http://www.clubpenquin.com Alex
torledo Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 Hi Would you allow pupils on this website? http://www.clubpenquin.com Alex that's one of the classic flash games, comes under various other names....what is the question you're asking. Are you concerned about the animal welfare messenges the game presents to corruptable young minds......in which case you've got nothing to worry about with whack a penguin. Is it eductonal ? No.. and if you don't not mind kids wasting their time playing online games in class then fine. But most of these types of site will be blocked.
actech Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 I have been told to block any websites like that. Something about the computers for school work and they can play games at home!
katem Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 Not blocked here in Mansfield but personnally wouldnt allow it (if I had access to Netsweeper )
SteveB_NI Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 Banned here under C2K reign --- Access to this webpage has been denied URL: http://www.clubpenquin.com/ Reason: This website has been categorised as "Games". --- Even if it wasn't banned, I'm sure we would add it to the block list anyways.
timbo343 Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 I would ban it on our filtering server if it aint already banned, even if it aint got games on, just to be harsh as it doesnt relate to educational materials i would ban it.
Domino Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 Do you mean clubpenGuin? thats a Q up there.... The http://www.clubpenQuin.com site is actually a placeholder put in by the networksolutions hosting company, the games just come through as being part of their placeholder.
alexknight Posted April 24, 2008 Author Posted April 24, 2008 I think the concensus of opinion is to ban it. Can't let the little ones have too much fun. Alex
enjay Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 Maybe I'm missing something here, but that site is quite plainly a games site, so the only question to answer is 'do you ban games sites at your school?'.
