a fairly unexceptional cathedral

YOU TAKE THAT BACK!

Since 1549, the cathedral has had the tallest church spire in the United Kingdom, at 404 feet (123m). Visitors can take the "Tower Tour" where the interior of the hollow spire, with its ancient wood scaffolding, can be viewed. The cathedral also has the largest cloister and the largest cathedral close in Britain at 80 acres (32 ha).[2] It contains a clock which is among the oldest working clocks in the world, and has the best surviving of the four original copies of Magna Carta.[2] In 2008, the cathedral celebrated the 750th anniversary of its consecration.[3

Meh. It doesn't slowly expand open to reveal a hidden nuclear missile, so what interest would it be to Russian spies? An exceptional cathedral would have, like, lasers and stuff.

How do you know it hasn't? It is exceptionally beautiful, and may well have hidden missiles or whatever - just ask @AJWhite1970 He works in the shadow of the cathedral so maybe his school is a front for some sort of defence organisation

Every time I see the clip showing the 'tourists' explaining why they had visited the wonderful 123m tall cathedral I see them - but the voices I hear are the meekcats Sergai and Alexander

or is that just me??

One of our building is the inspiration for the dining room at Hogwarts. And they flap about in gowns...

Just another Sunday night in Salisbury.... :)

Glad everyone OK, can see why the authorities reacted how they did, still no guarantees that there aren't other bottles still hidden in the city or surrounding areas despite all the reassurances we keep getting given

Does this mean Prezzo will no longer have full marks on the Food Hygiene scale?

Do the food standard agency check for military grade nerve agents??

if not why not??

something needs to be done - it is a scandal - all these Russian Immigrants coming over here with their bottles of fake perfume

Anyone got the address of the Daily Mail - I think I have a story for them
