Morning,

We use Eclipse2 here and it's installed in a DC running 2008. I'd like to get it off a DC because the DC needs replacing with a newer OS, and because it shouldn't be on a DC anyway! Unsurprisingly I can find very little about how to move it. Does anyone know? Does anyone have an installer for it? Are we finally going to have to bite the bullet and pay some money on a newer version?

Thank you

I think you should just be able to move the folder to another server and update the shortcut.. at least that's all I ever had to do when we ran it locally

i would be tempted to build another dc and demote the one eclipse is on.

p2v the demoted dc and let eclipse rot not worth moving.

It's already virtual, and it's running Server 2008 so I'd like to get shot of it anyway. Everything else here is at least 2012 R2.

I'll give that a go, but it isn't run locally. It doesn't use any SQL or IIS or anything daft then?

is this eclipse from MLS? or eclipse from capita

If so I can dload the install guides for you

Yup, MLS. Could be useful thanks.

I installed it, so can export the database and re-install it for you if you want? Your predecessor's predecessor told me to put it on that server. The CD should be on the shelf with some rough notes of mine inside if you can figure out my scribble. Edited by sigma

Eclipse2 runs on MS SQL. If you have the original books, they document how to move it. It's pretty portable, I moved ours without issue and same since I moved it to Eclipse.NET.

Hello from 2021!

could anyone get me a MLS eclipse2 install disk, I have a stop.zip with the .mdb files but no installer disk.

NEVERMIND! I found an iso I'll thank myself from 2016 for that.
