AJWhite1970 Posted April 23, 2018 Posted April 23, 2018 Works great now - thanks BTW, would it be easy enough to add "Internal" as an Exam board? Andrew
ass17 Posted April 23, 2018 Author Posted April 23, 2018 Works great now - thanks BTW, would it be easy enough to add "Internal" as an Exam board? Andrew Great thanks for letting me know. Yes, just edit the config file in notepad, and the current list of exam boards add your own to list at the end, remember to semi-colon before your own exam board. I suspect your asking me to add it into the default config for future users which i will do for next release :-)
AJWhite1970 Posted April 23, 2018 Posted April 23, 2018 Sort of. I've added Internal as an exam board but I'm not clever enough see how to force "internal" to print a cover sheet in the same way that for example CCEA does...
ass17 Posted April 23, 2018 Author Posted April 23, 2018 At the moment coversheets will only print off with the default list. If you want a cover sheet of sorts I can create a generic one with your school logo?
PlantHead Posted April 23, 2018 Posted April 23, 2018 Just posting to say thanks for Exam Writepad, really helped us for this summers exams.
AJWhite1970 Posted April 23, 2018 Posted April 23, 2018 Ah OK, so I wasn't being totally stupid (this time) then Don't need a badge or anything fancy, just the same cover sheet as say the wording and format of CCEA would be fine thanks for the offer though

AJWhite1970 Posted April 24, 2018 Posted April 24, 2018 Morning The JCQ/WP Form 4 template you already use would cover all the bases I would need for internal exams
enbiggen Posted April 24, 2018 Posted April 24, 2018 Hi, Is anyone else having issues when they set PasswordOnExit? When it's set I can't exit. It's like a modal dialog has opened up and when I click on the window I get the ding you'd normally get when you've got a modal dialog box open. I've tried alt tabbing to see if the dialog had opened up behind the main window but it hadn't. There's no issue when I don't have it set. Thanks.

ass17 Posted April 24, 2018 Author Posted April 24, 2018 Seems ok to me, if you type in password wrong then when you hit enter or press exit you are given a message box to say password is incorrect. If you type in the correct password then the message box appear to say password is correct
enbiggen Posted April 24, 2018 Posted April 24, 2018 Hmm.. odd. I go to File->Exit and then I'm not prompted for the password. I'm using ".NET Framework 4.6.1" and "Windows 7". I can live without the exit passcode working for us (sniffles) but it would have been cool to have. Thanks.

enbiggen Posted April 24, 2018 Posted April 24, 2018 If you don’t set the password in the config file then you won’t be prompted [emoji1303] Yup - that's how I got it to work after it wouldn't exit when it was set. Thanks.
ass17 Posted April 24, 2018 Author Posted April 24, 2018 Changelog 2.1.3.0 Fixed - Password on Exit window, removed extra message boxes, created show/hide password button. 2.1.2.9 Added - Exam Boards now include new "Internal/Mocks" option and with print the JCQ cover sheet if required. If you need to include this in your own config file then make sure it is written as "Internal/Mocks" or "INTERNAL/MOCKS" without quotes. 2.1.2.8 Fixed - JCQ cover sheet not printing unit code in correct font size Download: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1fBsX0d_kZgQY2e6LSb5EpiAxPzg7L0b4 - - - Updated - - - Yup - that's how I got it to work after it wouldn't exit when it was set. Thanks. Can you try new version I have just posted, it show work better now with passwords.
enbiggen Posted April 24, 2018 Posted April 24, 2018 This time I could see the dialog box but it was consistently hidden behind the main window even when I tried to bring it to the front.I then changed the configuration file so that DisableTopMostPriority was set to 1 rather than 0 and it showed up in front, which means I can type the password in and exit now. Thanks.

ass17 Posted April 24, 2018 Author Posted April 24, 2018 I also need to mention if you havent already done so: Make sure you have change the config option "PrintJCQCoverSheet" and renamed it to "PrintCoverSheet" or else it will always print it out regardless or 0 or 1. Also just to make you aware of how the config options work: If your config file has all the options then the application will use them. if you do not create a config file or only have partial config options set then the Application has an internal set of default ones as a fallback measure. So please always make sure your config file contains all available config options so It doesn't produce undesired results. 1
AJWhite1970 Posted April 24, 2018 Posted April 24, 2018 Thanks for implementing the internal exams and cover sheet, just tried it now with the settings in the post above and it works perfectly The exams officer has signed it off so we will be using this for all Summer 2018 exams Cheers Andrew
vitalstatistix Posted April 27, 2018 Posted April 27, 2018 Hi Mate, good to see this is still going strong. I had a question from a student about the possibility of being able to do a word count on a selection of text, for example if question A states 'write about 500 words for this answer', are they able to highlight the text and see how many words included. Not sure if this a feature that could be added? Best Wishes, Jake
ass17 Posted April 27, 2018 Author Posted April 27, 2018 Let me take a look, if so it is likely to be: select text, right click, select word count and it will pop up a message. Or something along those lines......
