I've not bought projectors for a faair few months. I see insight are the cheapest so far, their site is showing £ 271.99. Can anyone else beat this?

HTCPCP Posted February 6, 2018 Posted February 6, 2018 Always found X27s to be very solid pieces of kit - and have bought them repeatedly over the years for both classroom and business use. Bulbs are easy to change, and quick corner is a feature I'm surprised other manufacturers haven't implemented on their own kit!

Saved a lot of time for us with certain ceiling projector mounts! We've had a couple of EB-X41s recently and have been v. impressed by brightness and image quality. Genuine replacement bulbs are only ~£50 too.

LemonEntry Posted February 7, 2018 Posted February 7, 2018 Has anyone gone WXGA or 1080p? It would be helpful, in my mind, if the projected image was of the same aspect ratio as the connected device (staff laptop). Very few screens are 4:3 anymore... It's odd that projection has remained that way.

Just had a new build where I have been buying interactive projectors and a whiteboard instead of iwb. Seems to work better as it offers teachers the interactive features for those who want to use it and the ability to write on a standard whiteboard My long term plan is to eventually remove all iwb for the interactive projectors. The TCO for them is near enough the same as an interactive projector with new dual purpose whiteboard and install.

It may mean a *wider* image in your rooms instead, with more usable horizontal and vertical space. It depends, I suppose, on whether the projection surface fits a 4:3 aspect or 16:9. Ours are a bit of a mix so we're aiming for matching the horizontal width, as that's typically how projector throw ratios are calculated.
