We buy through distribution but prices have defo gone up over last few months. The dollar / pound plus a shortage of ssd's seem to be the cause.

I purchased Samsung 850EVO 250GB @ £87 each 2 years ago. Looking on Misco's website it's currently retailing at £80.99 while last summer I was seeing prices circa £65.

I bought my last lot in September from SoftCat (https://www.softcat.com/)

Samsung SSD 120GB 750 EVO SATA6 - £57.68 (inc vat)

Samsung SSD 250GB 750EVO SATA6 - £70.54 (inc vat)

2.5 TO 3.5IN BRACKETS AND SCREW - £3.60 (inc vat) - we had to get these as we were replacing standard HD's in the RM One.

SSD cost are going up quite quickly so shopping round to see who got the best deal / old stock hanging around is the best tip at the moment.

Come give us a try? :)

Currently we are at £40 ex vat for new 120GB origin storage drives. With only another £2 for a conversion bracket.

The origin inception drive is a very capable bit of kit indeed, and reliable too. only a couple of failures in over 5000 drives sold last year!

You also get the three year warranty with these drives and get to deal with us should there be a problem. ave you shopping around to find who you bought them off.

@john is right though, prices are going up and up and show no sign of stopping in the next 6 months :(
