EARTHQUAKE: READ TEXT FIRST, IT REALLY PUTS LIFE IN PERSPECTIVE

Not often I send these types of things out but with the earthquake last night it really makes you think...

 

With all the news on TV lately about the hurricanes that America is experiencing, the typhoons in China, flooding in Switzerland and recent mud slides in South America, we shouldn't forget that the UK has its share of devastating natural disasters too.

 

Attached is a photo illustrating the damage caused to my home from the earthquake that occurred last night.

 

It really makes you cherish what you have, and reminds us not to take things for granted.

You think that's bad, I had a picture fall off the wall. It activated the rainguage sensor on our weather station.

Oh yeah, I've got a huge deck, the wife just loves sitting on it.

Sometimes her friends come over, they love sitting on it too.

The worst one I heard was a bloke had spent about 4 years restoring a '71 Hillman Avenger, only to have his chimney collapse over it

A lad from up here in barnsley was asleep in his attic bedroom when the chimney came though the roof and landed on him breaking his pelvis, but i think that was the only major injury
