Dos_Box Posted November 15, 2016 Posted November 15, 2016 Not mine. I promise I have no interest whatsoever in Pokemon Go! I'll be keeping an eye on you Linda! 2
ICTDirect_Dave Posted November 15, 2016 Posted November 15, 2016 Oooh! The do 'nice' burgers. I'm sold Exactly what I wanted to hear. Hopefully John & I will be residing within a hundred yards or so of that pub this year I imagine you'll need to book in advance though.

Definitely, and hopefully @Little-Miss won't be a shivering bundle of flu-riddled misery this time
BKGarry Posted November 15, 2016 Posted November 15, 2016 oh yeah, I forgot about that, that wasn't nice at all.
ICTDirect_Dave Posted November 15, 2016 Posted November 15, 2016 Definitely, and hopefully @Little-Miss won't be a shivering bundle of flu-riddled misery this time That would be nice. Unsurprisingly, she's not nearly so much fun when she's full of the lurgy! 2
Joanne Posted November 15, 2016 Author Posted November 15, 2016 Am I the only person who doesn't get ill from BETT?
Dos_Box Posted November 15, 2016 Posted November 15, 2016 (edited) Am I the only person who doesn't get ill from BETT? We hate you. Edited to add: :p :p Edited November 15, 2016 by Dos_Box 3
Dos_Box Posted November 15, 2016 Posted November 15, 2016 Am I the only person who doesn't get ill from BETT? Kaz was kind enough to share the flu with me and I spend teh first few days back in bed I don't know how you don't get ill. We'll have to make sure you talk to every lurgy ridden visitor to the stand in Jan then
elsiegee40 Posted November 15, 2016 Posted November 15, 2016 Am I the only person who doesn't get ill from BETT? Last year I was suffering from exhaustion by the end of it, but escaped BETT-flu. I remember feeling quite tearful when I missed a train at Charing Cross by seconds on the Saturday. There was another 20 minutes later, but I was so tired that I just wanted to go home!
BKGarry Posted November 15, 2016 Posted November 15, 2016 I didn't get ill. But I was only on the stand for two days, so didn't get as much human interaction as you lovely hard core people. The question is will @witch be joining me on a bag hunt again
Dos_Box Posted November 15, 2016 Posted November 15, 2016 (edited) Last year I was suffering from exhaustion by the end of it, but escaped BETT-flu. I remember feeling quite tearful when I missed a train at Charing Cross by seconds on the Saturday. There was another 20 minutes later, but I was so tired that I just wanted to go home! I remember trudging back to Euston right through the middle of a film shoot on Euston Road (they waved me through). With hindsight I was hung over, tired and exhausted. I think they may have cut that scene! Edited November 16, 2016 by Dos_Box 1

The question is will @witch be joining me on a bag hunt again Dunno - I've got a lot of bags now! But i can lend a hand. I hope to get there for Thursday this year if I can sort out somewhere to stay for two nights. 1
john Posted November 15, 2016 Posted November 15, 2016 Pipeline went posh? Lame! Prospect does do food New Great British Menu at Prospect Of Whitby No The Pipeline didn't go posh it was forced out by hipsters and posh chicken :'( We are homeless now!!!!!!
vikpaw Posted November 15, 2016 Posted November 15, 2016 I think a group of us should meet up on the Friday and go for it. I'm not really a big drinker, so something fun to do instead Let's be honest now, you can't really be a 'big' anything unless you stand on the large Ruckus dog [emoji12]
john Posted November 15, 2016 Posted November 15, 2016 Exactly what I wanted to hear. Hopefully John & I will be residing within a hundred yards or so of that pub this year I imagine you'll need to book in advance though. Pre-booking Edu-Dinner is complex we've hardly ever managed that yet..... Also you being that efficient I'll second that. The cheese restaurant in Spitalfields does brilliant fondue. We've been there a few times I have also recently discovered a awesome fondue place in spitalfields You mean you all keep stalking near where I work and dare not say Hi....... myself and @Domino could fall out with you all *tries to organise something to escape tech* *fails miserably!* Hey I suggested TKTS and just go and enjoy I think a group of us should meet up on the Friday and go for it. I'm not really a big drinker, so something fun to do instead Sounds good but some people maybe dying of Man/Woman Flu by then due to dirty visitors....
vikpaw Posted November 15, 2016 Posted November 15, 2016 What about that place near the O2 that does eduJelly
elsiegee40 Posted November 15, 2016 Posted November 15, 2016 What about that place near the O2 that does eduJelly Jimmy's World Buffet
witch Posted November 15, 2016 Posted November 15, 2016 I loved Jimmys World Buffet and would very happily go again.
X-13 Posted November 16, 2016 Posted November 16, 2016 It's starting to sound like a full event now... Have some food, see a show, probably a few drinks... 1
GrumbleDook Posted November 16, 2016 Posted November 16, 2016 I'll try and go to something (meal, theatre, whiskey/whisky night) but I have to play it by ear every year now ... in case I get grabbed to go to an evening event. Friday is a no go as I parade the tiger face to a bunch of folk in the evening (TeachMeet BETT and then the after party) and Saturday is straight home for me nowadays. 1
ICTDirect_Dave Posted November 16, 2016 Posted November 16, 2016 No The Pipeline didn't go posh it was forced out by hipsters and posh chicken :'( We are homeless now!!!!!! Bl**dy Hipsters! You'll have to start your own bar hey?
Joanne Posted November 16, 2016 Author Posted November 16, 2016 We hate you. Edited to add: :p :p Hah! Immune system of strength. My secret? BEROCCA!! Also, I shared a room with Kaz. How I didn't fall is is something short of a miracle. We could do a challenge of make Joanne ill. Don't really fancy it though to be honest!
Little-Miss Posted November 16, 2016 Posted November 16, 2016 Definitely, and hopefully @Little-Miss won't be a shivering bundle of flu-riddled misery this time That would be nice. Unsurprisingly, she's not nearly so much fun when she's full of the lurgy! Aww man, i was so ill! Just my luck to pick something up during BETT and not afterwards like most people....
BKGarry Posted January 19, 2017 Posted January 19, 2017 Whatever came of this? Suddenly dawned on me with BETT next week
Joanne Posted January 20, 2017 Author Posted January 20, 2017 I think what is going to happen is nothing! I have less pennies than initially thought! Stupid house moving....
