Hello! Probably a simple one but i'm stuck. We have a machine that, for some reason, won't open weblinks from within Activ Inspire. The little play icon appears but when you click it...nothing. The same flipchart works on other machines and links open fine. Using Version 2 of Activ Inspire.

Any help appreciated!!

Hello, thanks for your question. Sounds like you just need to reset your profile within ActivInspire. Open up ActivInspire, click on menu/file/setting and reset your profile.

Hi tried this and it didn't work. If i log on as a different user on the machine and try the links- they work. Any other ideas?

Hi, it sounds like something in your profiles didn't change with the reset. If you are on a Windows computer go to C:\Documents:\ActivSoftware\ActivInspire\MyResources\My Profiles

If you are on a MAC computer go to Hard drive\users\Promethean\Documents\ActivSoftware\ActivInspire\My Resources\My Profiles

Delete all the Profiles, when you open up ActivInspire again the software creates the default profiles again. This should fix your issue.

Hi marsdenprimary,

The ext step would be to delete ActivInspire's working files.

1. Close ActivInspire if it is open.

2. Open up file explorer in the address bar type %Appdata% Open the "Promethean" folder.

3. Delete the "ActivInspire" folder.

4. Test ActivInspire.

If this doesn't work I would recommend you contact our support team via support.prometheanworld.com for them to assist further.

Thanks

I know this is an old thread but what was the resolution? I'm having this issue with one of my users.

So sorry about the lack of reply here's the solution!

Copy the web link to the desktop, see if you can open it. If it doesn't open, they believe you have lost the file association with that file. Right click on the file and select "Open with", pick the web browser and this should fix the issue.
