Geoff Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 Server stabliity continues to improve. I managed to play until about 10:30pm last night before I started hitting login issues. Freezing when catching pokemon is still happening too though.

Localtechie Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 Turning battery saver off definitely helps to prevent the frozen when catching pokeballs bug. Also played it without issue for most of yesterday so a definite improvement.

sted Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 A 10,000mAh+ external battery ;P caved in yesterday and bought a car charger as with fast charge i can almost do a full charge in an hour so a quick 30 mins when going from a to b should keep it topped up nicely. cant find any decent not too expensive usb c chargers though granted diddnt look too hard and decided it probably wont matter in a fortnight lol

My 13,000mAh battery only supports a max of 5v2a, and my S7 Edge can use fast charging (even though it isn't USB C).. From a plug it charges 0-100% in 2 hours. From USB it takes more than twice that. Duranis Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 I had about 200 old laptop batteries at home (yes I'm an electronics hoarder....) which I removed the Li-Ion cells from (8 cells per battery). Made up a few power banks from these, 19,000mAh DIY power bank for about £4 of parts. If I wanted to I could make the cells removable so I could charge multiple packs and swap them out when needed. I could also probably run more cells for higher capacity but then the electronics becomes more tricky as they wouldn't have been balanced (as they came from different batteries). Completely off topic but it was a fun little project and gave me an excuse to say to the Mrs "I told you they would come in handy" .

Probably not OSHA compliant, though (Then again, I much prefer Reddit's version of OSHA, Old-School Hardhat Accident) My 13,000mAh battery cost me about the same price, £30-ish. Think it might have been £25, but this was maybe two years ago now? Could be longer actually. I'm rubbish at estimating time. But for portable power, I don't trust anything that isn't Anker these days. I'm not really a brand loyalty type person but Anker have bloody earned it. I even buy their cables where I can. I find them to be more durable.
