Ok, so south central people? What do we reckon? @witch @Adams_dad @DalekSec @AJWhite1970 @Dan_ATR anyone else?

Obviously I'm going to say we should meet round the corner from my house, which would be fine for @witch, @Dan_ATR and @Adams_dad, but a bit far for others... So Blandford? Shaftesbury, somewhere pretty in the back of beyond?

Do we wait until the summer holidays?

Sound like a plan! Worth making a new thread?

Surely you should include Ice T? He's from South Central

(do not listen to this at work!).

Shaftesbury is prettier, but not so easy to get to if anyone is planning on using public transport.

From memory on the list, those that prefered Salisbury rather than Swindon (or as LeMarchand calls, 'The North' ;)) are @DalekSec and @LeMarchand.

Other individuals interested in Salisbury where @DJ-1701 and @newpersn.

I'll tag anyone else that showed an interest in this area when I have better access. :)

Ofcourse you may want to look a different location, but for your consideration, locations meantioned in Salisbury were:

Boston Tea Party (Salisbury)

Costa Coffee, Salisbury, SP1 2AG (Costa Menu - Our Range of Coffee, Tea, Hot Chocolate & Food)

Greyfisher (The Greyfisher in Salisbury | Hungry Horse)

Starbucks, SP1 2LB (Get good food at Starbucks - Starbucks.co.uk | Starbucks Coffee Company)

The Cloisters (The Cloisters Menu - The Cloisters Salisbury - The Cloisters Salisbury)

The Cosy Club (The Cosy Club ~ Salisbury)

Wildwood (Salisbury – Wildwood Restaurants)

As for the Shaftesbury recommendation, that's best option for me.... as I do live there!

But I'm willing to travel anything under an hour radius really, blandford and sailsbury etc.

Likewise... Obviously, I'm in Poole, but Salisbury is 50 minutes away, so I'd be happy to do Salisbury.

I thought Shaftesbury might be a nice hop across the border for those in the Near-North (ie. Wiltshire) :)

Ok, the only other one I forgot to tag was @AJWhite1970, but you did that anyway. :)

The tied best votes for Salisbury in the Swindon(ish) form (if you are interested) were:

Boston Tea Party (Salisbury)

Costa Coffee, Salisbury, SP1 2AG (Costa Menu - Our Range of Coffee, Tea, Hot Chocolate & Food)

Greyfisher (The Greyfisher in Salisbury | Hungry Horse)

The Cloisters (The Cloisters Menu - The Cloisters Salisbury - The Cloisters Salisbury)

Someone been stalking me at lunchtimes? That list is like a who's who of places I have lunch!!! From experience:-

Boston Tea Party - nice food but quite expensive and packed at weekends

Costa - as above, there are 2 costas in Salisbury though so coordinate maps

Grey fisher - biggest of the venues with tables inside and outside, free parking onsite, food is cheap with lots of choice.

Cloisters - nice food, mid price range

Happy to have everyone park at mine and do the arduous 30 second walk into town or if everyone wants to meet nearer the sea I'm happy to cross a cattle grid and head south

@Oaktech - you started this.......

Ok, Ok...

We finish on the 20th, which is a Wednesday, I am contracted to do 5 days holiday time, which takes me to the following wednesday the 27th.

I can do any Monday Wednesday or Thursday through the holidays (while my Son is at nursery), or I can do any Saturday, but I might have to have my Son with me.

What can other people do?

Saturday July 30th?

Weekends preferred as 52 weeks/yr but could take a day off during week and no-one would complain. Definitely busy last w/e July. Have to make the (at least) monthly parental visit to Devon and may be last-minute emergencies with MiL (Cornwall) or Aunt-in-Law (Rugby) (and who knows who else!) hence not being able to 100% commit.

If w/end is this just Geeks (+ possibly at least one Geekling) or Geeks + partners?

Also, which town/city?

Can't remember. I'm away from July 24th till Aug 3rd and then away at Gingers, the Gathering on the 6th and 7th. Free pretty much throughout the rest of August.
