The screen, when judging on position of the slider is is between 5% and 10%. Screen timeout is 5 minutes. Haven't had an issue with data connection, always seems to be working when needed.

My screen is at the bottom. Only because i prefer it that way though.
MkII Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 I find 5 minutes way too much. 15-30 seconds at most for normal use. More if I'm reading a lot. YouTube keeps the screen on anyway.

I mostly have that set for reading content without having to worry about tapping the screen before it locks. I do however automatically just press the power button to lock it if I am not using it anyway.

Same screen.. android system > adjust power use... is everything on low battery use? I have high accuracy location on. I've been on my phone all evening. It's now 11:18pm and I have 30% battery left.
DJ-1701 Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 Screen apparently has used 2% usage. Time on: 35m 43s Computed power use: 42 mAh Colour balance is about 75%, Sleep is at 5 minutes, everything else appears low/disabled.

Yep, I recharged it yesterday around 5 as I was headed over to my brother's house, and that was the power used by the screen at end of day. From battery > android system > select battery saving mode ... Is everything on there on low battery use? This is what I get when I go into Battery > Android System. (The pain, the pain of it all!) I really appreciate all your help Mark. Maybe if I root it I could tinker more with the settings...
MkII Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 Right I see. Do you get a lot of notifications from apps? Do you turn those off? I've not had such bad behaviour from apps recently. I used to despise the Facebook app for its performance draining but I've got it installed now with no issues. What apps do you have installed? I've had a couple of instances where the phone runs hot and battery drains like stink. Both app related. You can certainly get some good diagnostic tools rooted. I'd recommend XDA forums for info.

Though that might be for the lower-spec model though if they made one (did they produce two models again this time? I actually don't know..) Or buy the OnePlus 3 direct @ £329 and get a GiffGaff 500mb SIM for £7.50pm for a total of £509--and as GiffGaff runs on o2's network, your signal will be just as good. *Okay, so, a brief story. Wife's Lumia 930 was due for upgrade, she wanted to go to Android because even major apps like Facebook were going unsupported and starting to break. I wanted a Nexus 5X for her (best option for a number of reasons) but o2 didn't sell them, so ended up buying one off Amazon (£250, bargain) and getting another BT SIM (only £5 a month with our broadband). Got onto o2 support chat to get the PAC code and got asked why I wanted to leave. "I want the Nexus 5X but you don't sell it," I said. "Oh," replied the man, "that's a good reason. We do the Nexus 9 if you'd be interested in that instead?"

Well yeah, obviously it's a rubbish price compared to buying outright, but all contracts are rubbish in comparison to buying outright I just meant compared to usual contract prices.
