AnnDroyd Posted February 6, 2008 Posted February 6, 2008 (edited) Does anyone know anything about this company? They started a large scale projector installation for us before Christmas and now, with only about 6 installs to go, we haven't seen any more of them! Emails are not being responded to, and I cannot get in contact with the appropriate person by phone. Has anyone else had any dealings with these people or know anything about them? ZeroHour Posted February 6, 2008 Posted February 6, 2008 If he is in a meeting permanently and does not ring back ask to speak to his manager. Not heard anything but definitely stop payment until they complete the job. Nothing gets the running faster then the thought of being paid
dhicks Posted February 6, 2008 Posted February 6, 2008 They haven't been paid. Brilliant! Don't contact them again, or give them any excuse to remember who you are, looks like you're on target for a bunch of free kit... -- David Hicks
FN-GM Posted February 6, 2008 Posted February 6, 2008 We have had lots of trouble with that company. Restocking free is £50. I hope they are gone for good. Good luck jwood. Z
webman Posted February 6, 2008 Posted February 6, 2008 In 4 years of very low-cost and relibable products and services we've only ever had one problem with this company (regarding IWB installation), which was eventually sorted out.
FN-GM Posted February 6, 2008 Posted February 6, 2008 Must be the manager at the place closer to ours or something. Or just our luck!
ChrisN-0123 Posted February 6, 2008 Posted February 6, 2008 I hate that company. I get so many sales calls / emails.. drives me nuts!! The "always in a meeting" thing sounds dodgy. I wouldnt pay up until the job is complete. Chris
Sylv3r Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 I do know that one of the sales people that I have dealt with in the past now works for another ICT provider so they may have folded im not sure.
tech_guy Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 Isn't this company the one we were talking about on Edugeek last year?
webman Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 (edited) There are some discussions about the company in the Similar Threads section at the bottom of this page. Edited February 11, 2008 by webman
Oops_my_bad Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 They have not ceased trading. No.. looks like their usual shoddy service then.

Little_Devil Posted July 21, 2008 Posted July 21, 2008 I've heard that they have changed their name again? They are now trading as Mikesoft
localzuk Posted July 21, 2008 Posted July 21, 2008 I've heard that they have changed their name again? They are now trading as Mikesoft Wow, from one sly name to another!!
OutToLunch Posted July 21, 2008 Posted July 21, 2008 That's not a name change - as far as has been mentioned before Mikesoft are a partner company to the IT Support Centre, unless one has swallowed the other. Either way, both names totally put me off using them - sneaky way of getting past receptionists.
jcs808 Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 I had a samsung digital signage demo from these guys a few weeks back. I was about to place an order, think I'll make a few phone calls first.
Ric_ Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 I just received an email from teh IT Support Centre... hmmm.
bossman Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 Have just spoke to the managing director himself and they have not ceased trading. I had earlier received an anonymous e-mail from a concerned source which gave me a link to a newspaper article claiming that they had appeared in court for liquidation proceedings brought by one of their suppliers whom it seems had brought the proceedings due to the fact that they had not been paid for their goods within the agreed time-scale. Since speaking to the company director he has been totally upfront and honest with me and has given me information which leads me to the fact as i have stated that they have not ceased trading. I have not paid a penny to them but had to know what the state of affairs was for the honouring of 5 year warranty on hardware that they had previously supplied us with. I feel that they like a lot of small businesses are feeling the credit crunch, only this company has been good enough to let me know this directly whereupon others I feel may not be in a position or willing to let people know.
webman Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 I know someone (a reliable source) who recently made 2 orders with The IT Support Centre - 142 computers and 6 servers. They tell me the monitors were delivered one day last week, and the computers were delivered today - 2 weeks ahead of their original estimated date. The servers were delivered last Friday.
Elemtech Posted September 3, 2008 Posted September 3, 2008 Customers have now been sent a letter telling them that "due to a company re-structure" recent orders will be supplied and invoiced by Millenium Business Systems Limited. Staff remain the same as do telephone numbers. Millenium Business Systems do not appear on a Companies House search (it may be a new company?). The company is based in Bracknell, Berkshire. I have been told that at least one major supplier will not supply the new company. I am happy to e mail anyone a copy of the letter if they PM me. We can also help with any outstanding installations & quotes of course!
bossman Posted September 3, 2008 Posted September 3, 2008 Having just dealt with ITsupportcentre aka Mikesoft and Millenium Business Systems, they have been a pleasure to work with in this most demanding of times, with finances the way they are at the moment within the industry, quite a few of the major supply companies are facing cashflow problems and not just in the IT industry so rather than change suppliers I supported the company who has supplied and supported me for the past 5 years with good quality equipment and excellent after sales support. I only speak as I find ok

We have had a number of schools contact us concerned about the multiple name changes and I was simply quoting from the latest letter sent to customers.
