We had that. It bugged as the boss' body de-spawned and Draikey couldn't kill himself, so he had to quit whilst the rest of us were dead to reset the mission but couldn't reach us once rejoined. He ended up having to drag outside mobs into the mission area, die to them in the mission then we die to the boss and we all get ported to the checkpoint.

That's right, I'm such a tank I couldn't kill myself :p

I tried that, and got even more frustrated, because I couldn't respawn even after they hit a checkpoint, so had to just wait!!

I tried to help 3 gamer friends do their first challenge mission at 23:15 last night.

At 01:20 I had to admit defeat and go to bed or risk not getting up in the morning.

How hard can it be to get a group of 4 to focus fire the rushers and not split up and go in a nice inaccessible place to die and not require reviving???

On the flip side it was so funny and laughed so much my sides hurt today.

Im now running at Lvl 48 in the Dark zone and have all yellow gear .... focusing on improving on what I have to get the DPS up.

Fun fun fun!

Not to brag or anything, but our team can complete the challenge in about 1hr now!

I don't think the game developers were prepared for people getting through the game so quick.

I can do Lincoln Tunnel challenging in under 20 minutes with some decent players ;)

I went into the DZ and turned back around again - it was scary :hand:

Nearly completed all the missions though, annoyingly having to go and do loads of hostage rescues to get level up in between main missions.

I did the same mission with by Clan buddies earlier in about 15 mins, I was playing with some other weekend warriors who normally play Elite Dangerous.

They don't seam to grasp the importance of anything and took half an hour just to clear the perimeter guards before entering the powerplant gates ! By which time they had managed to use all their medkits and run out of ammo multiple times !! These are supposedly level 30 experts who seamed to think the sniper rifle is the main weapon of choice at 30 paces with 2 shotgun rushers coming at you and all the time in the world to scope in and take a shot.

It was immense fun though, and will probably do the same again over the weekend just for the lol factor. I do it on hard on my own and yet they struggle to do it in a group but they are a good bunch of guys and

OOOOH yea met one or two of those who play cautiously... and it's annoying, but thats because they put everything into DPS and forget about their health, so go down ever couple of minutes!

if your on xbox send your gamer tag, our group is growing, and end up with odd numbers sometimes!

The game pushes players towards being cautious, but after analysing some PvP footage I spotted Survivor Link and Tactical Pulse which make it an entirely different style of play. Not tried it in challenge mode though as the instance system broke. :(

And remember to do your crafting today and change up your green materials into yellows before the nerf bat hits tomorrow.

In my opinion, it's kind of a Third Person Shooter meets Diablo.

The gunplay isn't the greatest, though it's still somewhat satisfying... the mechanics are simplistic and very easy to get the hang of (as with any Cover-based shooter). The stat systems are a little strange, and the lack of loot is something that can certainly drive you nuts.

It's a fun game all in all, but very very tediously grindy. However if you want something where you're not really working towards an end game "completion" where you can always be looking for improvements (like Diablo) then you'll probably enjoy it.

How did you get such a high DPS whilst maintaining a decent stamina stat?! I've recalibrated tonnes, crafted gear and mods countless times to get the best stats and talents.. :(

It has accuracy as a talent. Accuracy artificially inflates DPS, it deals no extra damage than a vector without accuracy, but I cant help it as the other talents are 24% headshot damage and self preserved (awesome). Crit chance actually increases DPS, so make sure your crit chance is high enough to proc alot and your crit damage it up so when it does crit it hurts.

First Wave / Custom M1A is still the best marksman rifle tbh, make sure it has the Balanced talent and then something for crit/damage and booooom.

Its good but have you found the secret with the M44??

It can one hit down players with a headshot and it has great AA. It'll one hit bodyshot when using explosive rounds, wiped out a team of 3 rogues with 3 shots the other day. Crit headshots for 400-500k against AI, although I do have brutal, balanced and 8% extra crit tho, so lucky roll.

Every named NPC will drop a HE come Tuesday. Crafting 'nerf' is a massive drop buff (from 3% to 100%), Darkzone is gonna be warzone.

If you're in the crafting menu, at the very bottom of the category list you can craft materials using the previous tier, 5 green fabric -> 1 blue fabric etc.

As mentioned earlier, get them all upgraded today as there's a crafting nerf incoming. I haven't been on for a few days, as mostly I just want to DZ now and it's full of hackers, so I've been waiting on tomorrow's update, but I might nip on tonight to farm PxC and crafting mats.

Upgrade the middle yellow wing and you unlock a special vendor upstairs next to the re-roll station in your Base of Operations. He will sell you high end recipes in exchange for Phoenix Credits that you can use repeatedly at the crafting station downstairs until you get an item you like. To get Phoenix Credits you need to complete Challenging missions, the daily bonus from Challenging missions and 1-2 credits drop off of a named boss on Hard difficulty or higher. Or go hunting in the Dark Zone, named enemies in the DZ will also drop yellow high-end items in the next patch (good luck getting them out!).

I recommend you pick up the Black Market AK recipe and the Vector SMG. Then start crafting high end armour. But if you are on PC, hop on TS with me and Danny and we'll help out where we can.

+1, I use both of these weapons. AK as my 'primary primary' for medium-to-long range (it's ridiculously accurate for tap-shots, and it's recoil pattern is easy enough to compensate for at full auto), and the Vector as my 'secondary primary' for short range.

It's worth noting though, that your character will carry ammo types for all weapons, and resupply boxes will resupply those ammo types. It has nothing to do with the weapons you have equipped. Thus, I keep a DMR in my backpack just in case, and I always have the ammo for it.

He's Rikevfox on UPlay, I'm the aforementioned Danny, fairly certain mine's currently Draike2590 at the minute.

Garacesh on uPlay (assuming your display name is what's needed?) but as always, Steam is better as I only fire up uPlay when I launch The Division.

Feel free to add me.

Rejuvenate perk should be fixed tomorrow too, according to the patch notes. I think I'm DZ46 at the moment, but I haven't really gone in much since it's so full of hackers, or people outside the map constantly downing/reviving each other for free DZ points

I never know what name to use for you....

And yeah, I only use CAM on here.

That's something that a lot of people say, but the truth is, they're not 'kidding themselves'.

First you have group A. They don't pretend to be good at the game. They don't pretend they have skill. They get a sense of satisfaction from winning. That is it. The pleasure comes from the victory. The feeling of victory is never lessened by the methods used to achieve it. It is a victory over others. They have won, you have lost, and that is all that matters. These are the kind of people that use hacks that may not be immediately obvious. Aimbots, triggerbots or wallhacks. In the case of The Division, it'll be wallhacks and subtle ROF tweaks.

Of course then there's the other people, group B, that get satisfaction from ruining other peoples' fun. They tend to be the more overt hackers - often revelling in how obvious they can be, the more obvious, the better, as they can clearly see people getting frustrated. They will not be subtle. They may even openly admit it. These are the kinds of people that use more obvious hacks, the immediate one that springs to mind is spinbots in CS:GO, or in the case of The Division, teleportation hacks, obvious ROF buffs, shooting through walls and exiting the playable area. There's no reason that this group is mutually exclusive of the first. Many hackers that enjoy ruining the fun of others also get satisfaction from the victory.

Both types of gamers suck, but don't think for a moment they're 'kidding themselves'. They don't pretend to themselves that they are skilful*, they're hacking because it gives them satisfaction.

* Though group A will publicly say "It's all skill, no hacks!" because they don't want to be banned for hacking, and group B will say "It's all skill, no hacks!" just to troll you and ruin your fun some more.
