Why oh why is there not an app out yet for this! one with an interactive map show what you need to complete etc.. and also where you can change your load out and appearance without being logged in to a computer or console... this would be amazing!

and to add to it... work with my watch ;) pulses when near map appears etc! oh my!

Because that would be utterly pointless :p

I never understand the appeal of companion apps. What use is seeing the map/changing loadouts/appearance/etc if you can't actually log in to play the game? :p

I'll tell you the one companion app I liked using.

Aura for EVE, now that was actually useful!

I believe Ubi binned a companion app for it way back when. One of the earlier gameplay trailers had somebody controlling a drone and pulsing targets from a tablet device for the other players in game. I can't remember if they gave a reason for cancelling it or if it was just quietly brushed under the carpet.

I dunno, they just feel a bit gimmicky to me.

In a game like The Division, you don't want to be taking your eyes off the screen and your hands off the M/KB to faff about with an app in the middle of a firefight. And if you're not in the middle of a firefight, why not just have an in-game interface to do whatever you're doing instead?

its not pointless... i would rather do this while i was sitting at my computer pretending to work rather than use up valuable limited games playing time. plus i am in an office where all we can do is chat about the game not show stats loadouts or anything like that because we are all on different formats.

and also another great feature would be a larger interactive map that you can have on your phone while playing.

it would also be nice to see when you are away what your pals are up to.

and if you could do crafting out of the game HOW MUCH TIME WOULD THAT SAVE!

and finally if i had the app and noticed friends were online, chances are i would load up the pc and join them.

I guess, but a companion app just for comparing e-peens with friends seem a bit useless, to me anyway :p

Handy, but given the limited size of phone screens you'd need a tablet to make it reasonably useful.

Hint: They're probably grinding the Police Academy exploit :p

Zero, you'd just be doing it on your phone instead of your PC. You'd still be taking the time to do it.

Ubisoft aren't going to give you that functionality because they want you to be logged in to uPlay so they can sling ads at you. Maybe you could get a uPlay app, like Steam has theirs, but one just for The Division seems unlikely.

Got properly skooled in Division over the weekend!

meet a character that was ranked ridiculous! i cant remember exactly but i remember it was over 160 (DZ rating) as we couldn't join him on the DZ daily!

turns out it was his THIRD character! we did both daily missions in open in less than 10 mins! it was unreal! completely different tactics we were used to! just rush and gun. i still go t to say this game is awsome! really enjoying it possibly the most fun i have had in a game since elite.

Strangely enough, this last update has been the best but now I feel like playing Division the least :( I just can't get into it, I just about do the dailies and that's it.

This was happening over the weekend. There is no need to fire your gun, you can stop on the ladder and count to 5 it still works.

On Saturday Ubi updated the Code of Conduct > http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php/1406653-Code-of-Conduct?

Glitching: Abusing a bug in the Game code or other established rule of gameplay

-- First offense: temporary suspension

-- Multiple offenses: permanent ban

So consider yourselves warned, although I found it hard to join a public Lost Incursion mission yesterday where they were not glitching. So if they follow though with this I think the servers are going to be empty.

To be honest, I can't really bring myself to pick up The Division again, not when I have a newly modded Fallout 4 at my disposal. (probably got about 25-30 mods loaded so far?)

The playerbase has dropped by over 60%, which even if you include release spike/first fortnight falloff, is a significant number, still no sign of a proper anticheat (Fairgame is just awful) and apparently old hacks being reintroduced, MASSIVE punishing all players for the actions of exploiters..

Honestly? I'm at the point where I'd get a refund, if I were able to, because the Dark Zone is what sold the game to me - after playing a lot of All Points Bulletin and thoroughly enjoying it, this looked like a sort of grimier, darker version. But that PvP/PvE environment just isn't available to me because of all the hackers, and the PvE is getting less enjoyable because everybody just wants to cheese incursions. But because I've played nearly 30 hours of it, a refund isn't on the table.

ARE YOU ME?!?!

I upgraded my GFX card to a 980ti the other day so I installed about 60/70 mods on my Fallout 4 installation and I've gone back to that lol.

Where the hell is the creation kit when you want it :(

Blimey, and I thought I was downloading them indiscriminately lol (Only playing F4 as F:NV and F3 crash and I can't get them working :( There's a much larger and more-fleshed-out variety of mods including some that are basically DLC sized for 3/NV but alas.. t'is not to be..) although I've stayed clear of revealing outfits and nudie mods (really, why are there so many?!)

My 980ti actually heats up with The Division, I was shocked! The radiator has never been warm until now lol.

I think I became addicted to clicking "Download with NMM", I felt like a junkie when they'd all finished downloading. I'm surprised I only had to run BOSS for it all to work without crashing though! mainly new weapons, armor then a lot of visual mods.

I got the MSI 980ti since I had an MSI 970 before, it says on the box that it's 74C under load and I haven't seen it go above that on either F4 or Division so I guess we'll see!

There's a chart somewhere I found that compares the various versions of the 980ti and their temperatures when idle/under load (can't find it right now) - it may be normal for your EVGA card to get that warm?

Oh, it's not heating up to the point that it's an issue. a toasty 45-50 degrees under load. I think the highest I've seen it go is about 60, when I was really pushing it and fiddling with OC. It was just a shock to feel it was actually warm. The Division is the only game so far to do that. Completely within acceptable temperatures, just one of those "Huh.. Waddyaknow?" moments.

Protip: BOSS has been superseded by LOOT

I've stuck mostly to PvP but it's not uncommon for the game to cut out if my connection flakes even slightly. TS still connected (if a bit robot voice sounding) but Division goes "Nope, nope nope, DELTA." Kicked out and back to the start of the mission losing all progress.

But the bugs, glitches and bizarre responses by Ubisoft aren't helping either. This game is turning into a bit of a disaster.

Works fine on console:troll:

No it doesn't :p

There are plenty of reports of hax, game breaking bugs, and characters being deleted on console :p

(That being said, I completely appreciate why people choose console for games like this, whilst not impossible, it's still much more difficult to hack)

I honestly haven't seen any obviously cheating player in the DZ on the xbox but I agree with you you far less likely to see hackers on console where it's a lot harder to implement code.

Yeah I have around 65 on fallout 4 atm but about 25 of those are texture replacers. Nothing compared to my skyrim build though running 282 mods successfully with no crashing haha took about 3 solid days of installing and patching though.

Tried the Incursion for the first time last night, was rather good fun. Not glitching it of course, but it's made me rethink my build (I was running cover related stuff and the Incursion doesn't use cover).

A team-mate also found a set item in the DZ but died to NPCs before a three-man squad of players walked up and stole the loot. I should have picked it up now we can drop stuff. They ran off so we chased them with the intent of getting it back and lost them in the blizzard. :(

That's a game-killing bug. I stopped GTA V due to money grant/theft hacks. :/

Also avoid stacking x% Damage Protection Against Elites. It's actually increasing how much damage you take!
