Fitbit users - do you still use yours

I did a search saw some of you have one, so do you still use it or has it made its way to the back of the drawer?

 

The misses is after one for Christmas now she has a phone that is compatible with it. She is after the expensive one but teaches watersports, so is it actually waterproof?

None of them are. "Do not swim with your tracker."

 

The only ones that were waterproof when I was looking before were either specific "water" ones, or things like a few of the high range garmins

Back of the drawer, too fiddly pulling it out to charge up every few days, and I personally struggled with the strap, tricky to get it on, it was quite good though and I used the vibrate alarm on it which worked well.

If you mean the surge:

 

The Fitbit Surge™ is water resistant to 5 ATM, or 50 meters, and the Fitbit Charge HR™ is water resistant to 1 ATM, or 10 meters. This means the trackers can be submerged and will still work when removed from the water. However, this does not mean the trackers can withstand the force associated with swimming strokes, so as mentioned previously we don't recommend swimming with the trackers

I looked at these when i was swimming at lot and ruled them out when i read they cannot be used when swimming. In the end all i really wanted was a lap counter so i bought this

I had a fitbit flex and used it in the swimming pool almost twice every week - and the sauna and steam room. It was perfectly waterproof.

 

I sold mine a couple of months back after it was sat in the drawer - not because I gave in on tracking my movement, but because I replaced it with an Apple Watch. The watch doesn't go in the pool, but occasionally gets put under running water (the official Apple fix for a sticky crown).

use mine (Charge HR) daily with a 15k step target. (4th in the Mens FitbitLeague B Division in November :-) )

 

 

Do swimming twice a week but the FitBit stays firmly in the locker.

Mine's broken at the moment, waiting for a replacement. Will use again daily as soon as I can. It's brilliant motivation when you just want to slob.

I hardly take my surge off.

 

I did the food plan thing upto recently.

 

Best thing I've bought. Ideal for me, as I tend to run off road so the GPS is essential.

The strap where the screws are on the back of my surge has split and the tiny lcd on hers has cracked and then come away. Shocking build quality. Not impressed.

have you been in touch with customer support? Should be OK to give replacements.

 

We have 2 HRs here. Had mine since late August and it's going well. In very good condition despite being out and about in a range of weather conditions. Nearly 2million steps counted with 60k being the highest count on a day; 15k normal daily target.
