Hello,

Me and friend at another school are getting the odd dirsync error. It doesn't happen every time. Its happened twice in the last 10 syncs. It lists a couple of users who couldn't be synced with no error description.

Has anyone else had this?

Thanks

I got it on 2 users too but i thought i was to do with an Internal DNS update i made on our students.externaldomain folder. Seems to be ok now as r've re-run the task on the server a couple of times though i'm using AAD sync rather than DirSync - dunno if that is making any difference.

Does anyone know if Microsoft is aware of this? Its not appearing on the health status page.

Thanks

It doesn't seem like there is actually a problem. Anyone who is synced is being reported as an error. However the sync changes are applying and the same user doesn't error the second time.

It appears to be users who have changed their password since last sync.

We don't use password sync as we have ADFS. It does seem like when any changes need syncing it happens.

I take back what i said... yep, only happening on users who have reset their passwords for us however things continue to work as they should.

Interesting, I have been getting synch errors today but I have been migrating all our students email to O365 today so put it down to something with that. It seemed to be the year group which was either completed before or during.
