L3OUGH Posted November 27, 2015 Posted November 27, 2015 (edited) So many pages, so little time to look through them all. Anyone found a decent GTX 970 on offer? Edited November 27, 2015 by L3OUGH

Funny how in a few years time we'll be saying "£440 was cheap for a 2TB SSD?!"
ICTDirect_Dave Posted November 27, 2015 Posted November 27, 2015 Acer Revo One RL85 Nettop - Nettop PC's at Ebuyer This is a very good deal guys. Same kind of deal I had this morning but this is the 2TB version. Good if you're looking for a HTPC as it comes with a remote control with a keyboard and mouse trackpad built into the remote control. I'm personally using mine as a Home Server / NAS. £159.99 and it's no bigger than a pint glass Can't get excited about that tbh. The Android TV box that I got from ebay for just £30 does all I might need, uses considerably less power and has a very useful Kodi build on it
Arthur Posted November 27, 2015 Posted November 27, 2015 Just phone my housemate, he is now under instruction to buy me one of these in an hour, from whichever retailer is cheaper Scan have a 750 watt EVGA SuperNOVA G2 PSU for £64.99 (was £92.99). That's a much better deal IMO.

Funny how in a few years time we'll be saying "£440 was cheap for a 2TB SSD?!" Nah, that's a bit too rich for me! £102 for 500GB is plenty for me! Especially as I'll be moving from a 128GB to this.

Now are you all sure you don't need one!!!
LeMarchand Posted November 27, 2015 Posted November 27, 2015 it comes with a remote control with a keyboard and mouse trackpad built into the remote control. I bought an older one of those remotes to use with my HTPC; never managed to get it working - must try again, though it now accepts "launch Plex", up/down, left/right, "enter" and "escape" from my TV remote and I don't often find I need anything else and have other options (wireless kb & mouse or bluetooth iTablet device) when I do.

I'd opt for the Fire TV Stick though and side load Kodi onto that as it's a couple of quid cheaper today than this android box is.

I considered that, but it's useful having the SD slot, and a couple of USB ports. Gives it greater expandability and means i can link my externals to it
ICTDirect_Dave Posted November 27, 2015 Posted November 27, 2015 Bam! got the psu! Must have been a close one. They're all gone now

Now are you all sure you don't need one!!! I'm sure! Already have a home-built HTPC (Boot SSD, 3(?)TB HDD with space for another drive or two, DVD player and card reader) in a Silverstone case that fits in with the other AV stuff much better than that white blob.
