Nope. Nether flying is it!

I usually try and travel out a distance, then just mine as much as possible in a trip. Last trip I gathered about 2500 blocks, so it has lasted me a while, but I burn through it pretty quickly!

Finally got my AE2 autocrafting setup done! then promptly ran out of various resources :) Glowstone dust is the big one at the moment as I'm trying to make more high density ME Storage

On that note, is there an easier way of getting glowstone dust than flying around aimlessly in the nether?

I get mine from a Witch grinder. They also drop redstone and ender pearls. Is handy. It can be a little slow, but I don't use it that much, so it's not really an issue.

As of last night I have 2 Tesseract frames set up.. Just need to figure out how to fill 'em now :)

I have my laser setup mining glowstone (with yellow focus) at present which pulls in a fair bit at a time. Just over 3k at last count. So I have this setup to turn on and off using an energy monitor so when power gets low, it turns off as to prevent anything else (like my AE setup) from stopping/turning off then turns back on again when my capacitors are nearly full again. Seems to work okay i find.

Don't you bloody dare :p After you lot have been using them for so long lol. I'm only just starting to catch up xD

Ok ok, maybe I won't for now then!

Next server I'm thinking of making it more of a group challenge thing - disable certain things, and make it so we are working together on getting things up and running or something. Though, looks like it may be a while before "next server", as the momentum is still strong on this one! :D

That'll be why I can't find much then! I'll try a different direction tonight and see what I can find.

Don't kill it now, I've only just started to get to the good stuff! :)

I might have to give this a go. I looked into the lasers a while ago with the view to getting yellorite but never did build one.

I fly a few thousand blocks out for mine.

Might look at some way to automate it now that others have mentioned their methods!

Oh, its safe! I ain't even finished with my trains yet. Got so much more I want to do. I'm sure others are the same too.

I'm thinking about disabling all the things like tesseracts and dimensional transceivers... Make us all use cables and trains! :D

So how does that work when we're mining in the deep dark?

You'd have to mine the underdark by hand :p Or at least set up your own power generation there, somehow.

Solar power!!!!... oh wait

I wonder if trains can go through mystcraft portals like nether portals...

Yes they can. I remember in the dim and distant past I had a modpack that had no tesseracts or endertanks. So I ran a rail line through a mystcraft portal to the nether and picked and moved lava with a tank cart.

I don't know how well a multi-cart train would hold up to interdimensional travel though.

PRT system?

Got a tesseract setup now so I can mine in the underdark :)

And a second diamond chest to siphon off cobblestone into so I can make my own portal there lol

(Yeah, I could just use linking books, but this way feels more legit.)

Edit: And with the addition of 2 high-temperature furnace generators, my tree farm/quarry combo is mining 1-2 blocks per second :) woo

You setup in the under dark right on top of my quarry, mining inside of my ender markers. I recall you having issues with your quarry not sending items any longer. I'm not sure if that was before or after the move to the underdark. However my quarry ate most of your fence boundary which surely caused yours to stop working.

I have your quarry and tesseract in my inventory so they don't get scooped up by my quarry.

Um. Wut. O.o

I dug 2 out of the 4 'corridors' used to build the fence perimeter myself.. Not sure how I managed to get caught up inside yours, but thanks :)

Just drop them off in my mailbox or in the present chest in my house or something. I'll probably be on tomorrow.

Also I don't think that's it.. My quarry was still quarrying when I had trouble with it.. The numbers were still going up when I went to the underdark to check on it, but nothing was appearing in any chests... I think I got my filtering wrong. If anyone could take a nosey at it, that'd be awesome.

Round the back of my house there's two chests and two trash cans. What should happen is Quarry items come through the Tesseract and are checked in this order:

Is it on the bin number 1 list? If so, deleted.

If not on the list, is it cobblestone? If yes, into the cobblestone chest.

Is the cobblestone chest full? If so, bin it.

If not cobblestone or binned, put it in the ores/etc chest.

Started the process of moving stuff out of my tower today. Gonna space it all out a bit. First up is spawners. Next I'll be moving ore processing. Eventually, the tower will be empty...

I've built a waterwheel, just need to build some power storage, convert it to rf, and prepare a jetpack :)

Capacitor Banks.

Waterwheels attached to dynamos (or whatever they're called..) generate RF. Capacitor bank stores RF. Outputs RF. No conversion needed.

Convert from rf even, everything I have or plan on having seems to use eu!

If you plan to use machines that make use of EU, Rednet Energy cable will convert between RF and EU and you just need to attach the cable between EU machines and RF conduit.

Or what I do is to have a batbox with Rednet Energy cable in the back and IC2 cable to the relevant machines then Ender IO conduit everywhere else.

Also, I have a hardened jetpack that I no longer need if you'd like it, bald_pig

Since I'm free on evenings, I can finally start playing again. How far behind am I with my Tinkers Smeltery and a few Lava Generators?

Well since we're not really competing with each other, just do yo thang. Smeltery is a good place to start, double your ores.

Get yourself a Drum (Total cost: 17 Iron Ingots) and pipe your lava into it using conduits (which are surprisingly easy to make..) Half a stack of cobblestone will give you a nice chunk of lava to work with, provided you can generate the RF power to run it. Get yourself some power generation going (waterwheels and windmills are the easiest way to passively generate power, just get a Coke Oven going to collect creosote oil, this can also be piped into a barrel using conduits)

Of course you could always just come nick some lava or creosote oil from me. I barely use the stuff, so go nuts.
