Garacesh Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 So I hear I'm already getting the blame for digging to place cicada? xD Hmm? @Xalent? lol Well, t'wasn't me. My three were on the green flag, on top of your reactor.. And I forget the third. And the three new ones aren't dug, either so there. I'm playing fair. Always have done lol.
localzuk Posted November 26, 2015 Author Posted November 26, 2015 Well... I will need to spread out my revenge then! Tested my rail line last night. Works nicely. Just need to widen the bridges when they're diagonal, as the train slows a lot - collisions between the hitboxes of the loco and the fences I think. Next step - make the stations auto-refill the train with fuel and water!
LiamHaith Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 What is the cicada? Where can I get some when I'm next online?
Garacesh Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 Cicada are noisy little bugs that can be found in the Twilight Forest. Don't worry, when you're next online, you'll find some <3
LiamHaith Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 I can't imagine anyone would have a place to hide them at my base, except for in my mine... which if they're in there... they can stay there
Garacesh Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 (edited) Hint: They aren't in your mines But as per my own suggested rules, I haven't dug anywhere or destroyed any blocks, and there are only 3 cicada - which gives you your ammo to return fire Your place was particularly difficult to hide them, so they're not particularly well hidden, but I knew you'd be in as soon as you found out so I went ahead and pre-emptively got you. LiamHaith Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 Oh yeah, I'm always in for mischief. Once I get myself sorted you can guarantee I'll be booby trapping people (In non destructive methods...)

Hmm... a couple of mine might've been buried 1 block deep at yours... Its particularly difficult for me to track them down as my hearing aids seem to confuse me over where sounds come from!
Garacesh Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 Hmm... a couple of mine might've been buried 1 block deep at yours... Yes, I know they were, in retaliation to an attack that wasn't even mine! git! Even the 3 I got you back with last night aren't dug, because I play by my rules xP I found them though. They're particularly troublesome to track down sometimes as the noise seems linger as you move around.
localzuk Posted November 26, 2015 Author Posted November 26, 2015 I won't dig any more in. Your base is particularly hard to hide them in though, no nooks and crannies!
Garacesh Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 Yeah that should change as I start to get more machineries going I plan on getting a quarry going tonight as I finally made a lightning rod... Only to find out that it needs a 3x3 base not a 1 block base So I don't have nearly enough electrum or steel to build 8 more blocks.
LiamHaith Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 I have a feeling someone is going to get hurt playing this game eventually. - - - Updated - - - @Garacesh if you need electrum, pop over to my house.... I think I have a fair few blocks of it you can borrow until further notice

I think I have a fair few blocks of it you can borrow until further notice I probably need about a stack of gold ore and a stack of silver ore at a minimum thankfully electrum can be made in the tinker's smeltery.
localzuk Posted November 26, 2015 Author Posted November 26, 2015 You can have some of mine if you want? Got plenty!
Garacesh Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 You can have some of mine if you want? Got plenty! Maybe. But last I checked I wasn't authorised to take things out of your storage Wouldn't have anyway as it turns out you only had about 100 slimeballs anyhow. But then I was pointed towards the island. So that was nice.
LiamHaith Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 @Garacesh I think I have like 16 Electrum BLOCKS. Not ingots Just take as much from my chests as you need, as long as at some point you help someone else. I don't mind Just help yourself.

Garacesh Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 64 Silver Ore + 64 Gold Ore x 2 (Smeltery) = 256 Electrum Ingots / 9 (Blocks) = 28.444444444 16 blocks won't cover it I'll try getting a quarry set up first, because realistically I'm really starting to see why they're needed now lol, so it would be useful to have anyway.
TopazTJ Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 (edited) Well after finding myself a nice remote island to base on, I foolishly used my entire supply of coal making torches to light up the whole area to avoid mobs (F7 hunting!) - arrogant in thinking I'd immediately find coal, which I didn't! So thanks to local for supplying me with coal would have needed to eat a lot of carrots otherwise haha. Tonight's plan will be to get power and some basic machinery, sort out my food supply with farms (luckily I had tons of long grass to cut down/get seeds from so a good supply!) and then deal with mining and gather some more resources. Still at vanilla stage to be honest but I'm slowly learning more and making progress.. I crafted a Machine Frame you guys!! Question: How on earth do you get Invar? I've looked at the recipe(s) in NEI but I can't make sense of them.. it's all gobbledygook. Edited November 26, 2015 by TopazTJ
Garacesh Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 Still at vanilla stage to be honest but I'm slowly learning more and making progress.. I was like that for about 2 weeks, so in all fairness, you're doing better than I was lol

Pulverise iron ore and ferrous ore (or ingots, but you get more doing it to ore), then mix 2 iron dust with 1 ferrous dust in a workbench, then smelt the dust it creates.

localzuk Posted November 27, 2015 Author Posted November 27, 2015 Decided one of my mega rubber trees was too close to my tower last night, so chopped it down! Not gonna run out of rubber any time soon... Discovered that Steve's Factory Manager doesn't interact with RailCraft Locomotives, which is a shame.
ADMaster Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 I got the mystcraft / computer craft touch screen portals working. There is one near spawn with links to a few people. I still need to make links to everyone else, and create books for people to get to the portal room from their base. The portal room isn't really a room yet. Just a floor so feel free to fill it out now that the functionality is there.
