Staff Emergency Call Button

I have been asked to look in to a way that we can have a Button/page/link on our computers accesable only to staff that will when pressed/clicked it will send a predefind alert to a central machine in the man office.

 

It must give the TEachers name Computer name and location

 

Has any got anything like that at there school would prefer free very cheap.

And sims not always running, icon on desktop would be better...

Do you know do lesson by lesson attendance?

Start normally just open sims and leave it open until they log off.

Email with a mailbox always open in office no good? Should be pretty easy to put something together in vb.net for this

I'm not sure that a desktop icon which the kids will spot pretty quickly if its seen on an IWB or screen will be too good.... I can imagine them seeing how far they can go before the cursor starts moves over towards the icon!

 

Something a little more discrete maybe? There again, I can't see teachers remembering a key combination whilst in a panic!

Our staff have an internal system which I created. They double click an Icon on the desktop, fill in name and details and send it sends to various staff by email, usually used for students miss-behaving.

 

Script could be changed to incorporate user name, and pc name (usually the room number) if they wanted something more instant.

 

Seems to work and used for several years .

We have an alert system, staff click and it pops up an alert up to on call members of staff.

Is this something you have made if so anychance having a look at it and if I can use it here maybe look at paying a fee for use??

If you cant find anything that meets your requirements, pm me how you would want it to work (with some mockups of how you want the button/submit form/office alert to look) and we could work something out
