Afternoon everyone,

I know there a lots of threads on here relating to this issue, and even on the internet. We have just moved all user home drives to a new file server and now all the user folders are showing as my documents rather than the username. We had a fix for this on our old file server, and that was by using the FSRM to file screen all desktop.ini files. Now the file screen policy worked a charm on the old file server, but re-creating the policy on the new file server doesn't do anything. We have set out the policy but unfortunately the folders are still showing as my documents. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,

Regards

Harry

This is a well known issue, it happens when Folder redirection has gone to the root of the users home folder i.e. \\SERVER\USERHOMES\USER

Either redirect to a sub folder or find ways to remove the desktop.ini file within the users home folder, I wouldn't block it from creating the file because that can cause issues.

Alternatively if you are browsing for the folder you can add the filename Column to the view.

Thank you. The only reason i am using the FSRM now is because it worked fine before. I have added the filename column to my user but i would need it set for staff accounts so they can see student home drives.
