SimAda00 Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 Just had some pringles, first time in a long while. Their not as i remeber them, they just seem tasteless, and no their not ready salted. Adam
Netwacky87 Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 You sure you didnt have the "low fat" kind, i had them not so long ago and god was like eatin cardboard!
Michael Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 Not a major fan of Pringles myself and I agree they do taste a bit cardboard ish, not that I regularly eat cardboard of course
john Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 What annoys me about them is the tubes! They never make them big enough to get my hand in, so I can eat about a quarter of the tube and then have to start shaking and sliding them about in the tube to get the rest of them out.
torledo Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 Just had some pringles, first time in a long while. Their not as i remeber them, they just seem tasteless, and no their not ready salted. Adam Never like Pringles myself. I end up feeling bloated after eating about three of those 'snack' ....I'd rather eat virtaully any other crisp instead of Pringles....except Orion Rings, Doritos and Pickled onion Transform-a-snacks which are just as bad. Infact those two bizarre american imports Doritoz and Pringles I consider the worst crisp snack on the market. Give me a packet of walkers or supermarket own-brand C&O or RS flavour normal crisps anyday. Infact an own-brand value pack wins over a single Pringles container every time. And they must be less than half the price of Pringles.
K.C.Leblanc Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 Yukkkkkkk, pringles are evil. Kettle Chips, Burts or Tyrrells for the win.
gwendes Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 I feel like someone should stick up for Pringles - they're yummy
stu Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 If your going to eat crisps then its macoys all the way, there crunchier than most and have way more flavourings!
Guest richard Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 I feel like someone should stick up for Pringles - they're yummy I'll second that
Geoff Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 I like the cheesy pringles. Also pringles + dips are great. They are a bit dull on their own though. Much rather have another brand of crisps, eg Walkers or McCoys.
phreak Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 Pringles are not the best crisps out there but they are not the worst either as some of you are making out to be. Though I did find that M&S own brand dipping crisps are exactly like pringles but better and cheaper in some cases. Though pringles really do come into their own when you bring dips into the equation.
torledo Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 Yukkkkkkk, pringles are evil. Kettle Chips, Burts or Tyrrells for the win. posh crisps are all hype.......McCoys taste much better and they don't try and sell you some nonsense about being made in a Kettle.
Gatt Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 Bought some Pringles over Christmas, but thought they tasted a tad stale to me...
Joanne Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 blah... reconstituted potato mush squelched into moulds.... I'm not a massive fan of crisps. I do like snack-a-jacks though... especially the salt and vinegar variety
DevilsAdvocate Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 I only like the Flamming Hot pringles. Kettle chips are awesome though!
mrforgetful Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 I used to love Brannigan's, came in a brown bag. Roast Beef and Mustard flavour yum! Pringle's are nice, but they need to put flavour on both sides not just the one.
Paul_L Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 Pringes, the best fire lighters in the world! Some years ago I throw some stale pringes onto a camp fire, I have never seen anything brust into flames so quickly before in my life, the fat content must be hideous. needless to say I haven't eaten pringes since!
Domino Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 I'm not a massive fan of crisps. I do like snack-a-jacks though... especially the salt and vinegar variety Snack-a-jacks....yurk flavoured corrugated cardboard
SimAda00 Posted January 7, 2008 Author Posted January 7, 2008 I just thought they seemed tasteless, (salt and vinegar) dont think they were low fat, but hey im all for doritoes and pint at the pub with the quiz on sunday. Or even a chance meeting with the chrisp legends of mccoys or walkers sensations:
tech_guy Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 If you find Pringles a bit bland you can always do what I do and spice them up with Insanity Sauce: http://www.hotheadz-hotsauces.co.uk/super-hot-sauces/daves-insanity-sauce.html?p1=Daves_Insanity_Sauce&gclid=CKuulLju5JACFSCBEgodnhxMWA Warning - this stuff will burn a hole in your sphincter!
Joedetic Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 An ultimate pub snack...scampi fries. Failing that local pork scratchings
