Due to it being a freebie on PSN, I've started playing Zero Time Dilemma on yon Vita.

Boy this is dark, moral choices and deadly consequences. Nothing overly visceral (so far), but the mental ramifications of choices made mean this game really does live up to it's age rating.

Note for the few with a PSVita that may be looking at this as a psychological/moral horror without anything visceral - there are visceral bits later. so if you've not got the stomach for it, I'd avoid.

has anyone here played persona 4 golden on vita (though i think its also on ps3) is it actually harder than p5 or do i just suck?

im having real trouble with the "bathhouse" dungeon im on my 2nd visit due to running out of mp 1st time about 2/3 of the way through. i suspect i was supposed to do some leveling before going there as first enemies i came across were l19 while i was ~l11 (but if this game has an equivalent of mementos i dont remember it being explained).

now ive worked my way up to ~l22 but still having an issue with the boss again (can jsut about reliably get his cronies down but last time 2 of my team had fainted and i was out of revives and he dosent seem to be susceptible to anything so im just hitting him repeatedly and doing 60 damage or so ) im low on mp and am seriously thinking about spending 2/3 of my cash to renew it as i dont want to use another day that i could use to level up a skill/social link

From what i remember it took me two attempts to beat that boss, if i remember it was beat the side minions which had oppisite weaknesses then go for the main dude. Cant really remember as it has been a while since i played it last.

I used time in dungeons to grind levels (you can also return to earlier dungeons by returning the to TV world in Junes,) - this also gave me 'shuffle time' to boost my Persona' stats (I got main's "own" persona up to 99 on all stats with this).

There's no limit to the number of dungeons you can visit in one 'trip' - and you can even spend several hours flicking between two floors in a single dungeon if you like, it'll just cost a single after school & evening session.

For two helpers - one is weak to Ice, the other Fire. The boss isn't weak to anything though I think he's immune to light/dark but I don't think you'll have too much of that yet anyway. He likes to poison (i think?) your male party members and enrage the females - so try to ensure you have a male healer so you don't lose access to healing. Give Chie a strength boost accessory and let her loose on him - if he enrages her it will only make her stronger but her defense will suffer (enrage doubles attack but halves defence) so be ready to keep her health topped up.

Also, in the first two thirds of the game I found high luck and agility stats on the main's persona to be particularly telling - as then normal attacks would often crit, giving a free follow up go.

thats the one ive managed to get both ice dude and fire dude down (doing ice first as that beep throws heals/stat boosts around like they are going out of fashion.

how do i go back as far as i can see my only options in the tv are go to current dungeon and go to a shop in town that bar a few pickups once dosent help

i think part of my issue is lack of mana the rest is lack of revives and the fact my "tank" persona has no ice/fire magic. i think ive spend about 4 hours or so far grinding in the dungeon to get to level 22 im tempted to get red girl up to 26 as she then has revive magic but exp gains are slow and im having to rely on cards for mana (or spending 26k or so to get restored) the only light/dark i have/had(been messing with fusing various person a so i now have a jack frost with medium ice damage and the ability to strip ice defend)which should help have been the low chance of insta kill ones that in general are about as much use (at least in 5) as a chocolate fireguard

When you've not got any 'live' rescue attempts running - you're free to go into whichever dungeon you like from the hub by speaking to your party members who are standing around (where you first landed). I'm not sure if you can 'leave' that dungeon's entrance area to go back to the hub though as I can't remember going backwards out of an active rescue. The insta-kill skills are mostly useless unless an enemy has a weakness to that particular element, at which point they become VERY likely to kill (instakills are only in the Dark 'Mudo' line and the Light 'Hama' line of spells).

Taking on weaker enemies on a lower floor will allow you to get into 'shuffle time' easier (as that's usually activated on the enemy not getting a go in my experience), which you can then use to heal health/mana and boost the stats of the main's current persona. That's especially useful if you can wipe the enemy only having to spend no/minimal mana, or through normal attacks.

luckily im getting shuffle time (had to lok it up id not clicked that was the card games name lol) more often than not atm and am using it to boost exp/money but its usually costing me mp in the form of wind spells. it does help when those hand things show up and i can beat them down for 1500xp/cash but usually they run as im about 1 turn away from killing them and the grim reaper well that diddnt go well lol

When Persona 4 asks if you're sure you want to open that chest - it means it.

true but im trying to just play it blind so im not looking much up (just weaknesses so i dont wast time/mana hurling everything at an enemy) i expected it to be hard but not 1 hit hard lol

Another note for 'shuffle time': If you notice how the 'half/no money/exp' cards have extra draws attached to them, it's worth it to take them - if you draw ALL cards, you'll automatically enter shuffle time after the next combat with an extra two draws, meaning you can usually get them all again - keeping the cycle going.

yup worked that one out same reason i pick up personas i already have/dont need just to get a sweep

got past that boss in persona 4 had to spend money with the fox but i did it (then immediately raised affinity with the fox to make it cheaper next time though as a result of grinding i have decent weapons/armour/chest keys and over 50k lol

FINALLY broke the Platinum on Dragon Quest Heroes.

Damn, the last two post game battle are hard. One is full of 1 hit KOs (you only get 4 revives per battle), and the other freezelocks your party if it gets the chance. Still - on to South Park!

further into persona 4 again needed 2 runs at the dungeon as the minecraft boss kicked by bum first time so left came back another day levelled a bit and eventually beat it in a battle of attrition. got an option to work at junes for most of a week got some decent cash hope it wasnt a waste of "days" as im not that short on cash. and managed so far to get chie up to social level 9 and red girl up to 8 slowly building out the main team i use

bought tell tale batman s2 on xbox as it was £15 so got that to play at some point and i think im going to pick up valkyria chronicles remastered on ps4 soon as was watching a gameexplain stream of it last night and looked fun

Valkyria chronicles remastered on ps4

Valkyria Chronicles is one of my favourite games from the early PS3 days, beautiful visuals, good gameplay and an engaging storyline.

Just finished Cat Quest to a Platinum, now carving my way through Persona 5, South Park: The Stick of Truth and Zero Time Dilemma.

Picked up Elite Dangerous again after a fairly lengthy hiatus.

Many improvements in the two previous that I'd missed.

Planets look gorgeous again and my new Krait Mk2 is a beast of a ship!

Mine too. I've recently been playing through the remastered version on PS4. Hyped for the release of Valkyria Chronicles 4 in September as it's the first "proper" (given 2 and 3 were PSP only and IIRC 3 only came out in Japan) sequel we've had to the PS3 original. Haven't played it but by all accounts Valkyria Revolution on PS4 is more a final fantasy style game than the turn based strategy you'd expect so is more a spin-off.

I'm just trying to decide whether to buy it on PS4 or Switch

Does xenoblade chronicles need to be done really before playing number 2???

no they may as well be unrelated games as far as i can tell there's a few references you'll miss and a few dlc blades you wont get the significance of but thats about it. (2 was the 1st one i played and actually going back to 1 wasnt great i gave up so if you want to play 1 maybe pay that first. I will say about 2 that reviews arnt acurate as such now its been altered a bit since launch an is a lot better game for it with some very needed qol fixed. I will say some of the stuff in the dlc is worth having and the main chunk of teh dlc coming in september looks amazing enough so they are selling it as its own game as well

fwiw xenoblade chronicles 2 is probably now my favorite game ever so far ive spent 350 hours in it and still haev odds and ends i want to do in it but ive been trying (and just today managed) to complete persona 4 with a good ending and still got telltale batman s2 to do first

CMDR FOULKSEY :)

This is my current main ship

https://s.orbis.zone/MjvgNLhQ

It's got a heavily modded FSD now so i can do 26ly jumps and I've got dirty drive tuning which gives me a top speed of 380 and a boost of just over 500!

Other ships I've got currently scattered in hangars across the galaxy are as follows

2 x Sidewinder

1 x Cobra Mk III

1 x Python (main ship, A rated components across the board)

1 x Diamondback Explorer (great explorer, just over 50ly jump range)

1 x Type 6 for basic hauling missions

I've only got 38 mil in the bank right now so I need to get out there and grind a few more credits soon.
