sted Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 completed : fire emblem (wii u virtual console) really enjoyed that (bar the rage quit moments when a character perma dies lol bought : fire emblem sacred stones (wii u virtual console) pretty much same game engine just new missions/characters and so far less rage quite/deaths. (and super mario galaxy 2 virtual console at same time) Isnt it strange how i seem to get more enjoyment out of £7 gba titles(on virtual console) and play them for probably longer than a £50 + game

If it's just the Pad, then I can see myself playing through Fire Emblem quite soon too!

Mario galaxy sort of if you dont mind pointing the wiimote/nunchuck at an 8" screen. My experience says pretty much anything that dosent require motion controlls works fine on just the tablet fine
synaesthesia Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Just completed Wolfenstein: Old Blood. Nowhere near as good as the ball-bustingly brilliant New Order but still enjoyable. Starting on Witcher 3 now...

LiamH Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Last game bought, lego worlds - Avoided the steam sales so far Last game completed, probably dragon age inquisition - I tend to play multiplayer/open ended games like Eve, WOW, Civ5, battlefield ect

Okay, went slightly overboard, bought revelations, brotherhood, creed III, Darksiders (which is nothing like i expected it to be) aaaand Nintendo Land for the Wii U. It's scary how cheap some of the older ps3 titles are now, at CEX, revelations is 2.50 and brotherhood is 2.00.
truebluesteve Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Last Game Bought - Witcher 3. Pretty good so far Last Game completed - The Order 1886. Meh
DMcGuigan Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Last bought: Pitfall The Mayan Adventure (SNES) Last completed: Finished Shadowrun Returns last night, just started Shadowrun Dragonfall: Director's Cut.
simpsonj Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Just Finished: Red Faction: Armageddon - A game saved by the Gravity gun being a stupid amount of fun. Just bought: Divinity II, Silver, Enemy Within (Damn GoG and Steam sales...) Most Hyped about: Fallout 4, FF VII HD remake, Mass Effect: Andromeda and Shemnue III all announced the last few days!
simpsonj Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Never liked 7.. They should remake 8 or 9 As long as they improve the battle speed on 9 then fine Seriously, it takes about 30 seconds to load up a battle in 9, considering you're going to have at least 500 fights across the game, that means 250 minutes of just watching battles load up. I've tried three times to complete 9, and I can't do it. I reach a dungeon where the random encounter rate is stupidly high, and give up the will to live... Gotta love the card game in that, make it playable online and you're onto a real winner! But I wouldn't complain about 8 & 9 being remade, but I'm still stoked about the 7 remake!
ICTDirect_Dave Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 (edited) Never liked 7.. They should remake 8 or 9 Lets not start this again You can have your 8 or 9 remake once I've got the 7 remake that i've been waiting ten years for since that bloody PS3 'technical demo' Edited June 16, 2015 by ICTDirect_Dave
sonofsanta Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 and Shemnue III wait what is this news i did not oh my god what now Though I suspect that Shenmue, of all games, is one built up in my head through nostalgia, and wouldn't hold up all that well today. I wonder if one of the stretch goals will be a bit of variety for poor Ryo's wardrobe? I still remember standing in his bedroom and gazing upon the hanging rows of brown leather jackets, and the drawers of blue jeans and white t-shirts...
Tesla Posted June 16, 2015 Author Posted June 16, 2015 I played Shenmue 2 on the original xbox, not played first one and it's far too expensive for me to justify buying for my dreamcast.

I know why it happened but that's really annoying its the same with wii/gamecube fire emblem games (and the save from the gamecube exports to wii sequel) and the gamecube one ive seen for about £100 and often £60 for wii sequel) isn't this the point of virtual console granted theres no gamecube games yet but they do work on wii u hardware (via homebrew) and nativish on wii

Kickstarter went down minutes after this announcement apparently!

ICTDirect_Dave Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 I know. I'm actually bubbling over with excitement. However, I'm not gonna be able to play it until 2017 at the earliest so until then, no talk of remaking any of the lesser FFs!
Garacesh Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 "The lesser FFs"? Have you heard yourself? Vivi, the adorable little mage who trips over his own feet, but will totally supernova your ass if you get on the wrong side of him can never be considered "lesser" to the whingebag that is Cloud. To be fair, Squall was pretty mopey, too.. But I still preferred 8 to 7.
halbaradkenafin Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 I'm still torn about whether I want this to happen or not. I haven't watched the trailer yet so I'm expecting my hype level to jump a lot when I do. Still the scale is 7 > 9 >>> 8 > others. 7 and 9 are pretty close for me, whenever I think about them they both have lots of great features and 7 wins out just because of playing it first and spending way too many hours talking about it with friends.

Glad it's happening it'll be nice seeing it all pretty shiny, especially seeing as I've never finished FFVII. Order is easily 9 > 7 > 8 for me, if we're throwing 10 in there, easily makes second.
