When you get me a free sample @EduTech as you love me I'll use one, the Health App is nice but it counts my brisk whizzing up and down stairs in the Tube network as running sometimes :D

That Band seems to be a bit like a Smartwatch with some fitness stuff added in, just a shame about the price tag really but I'm sure it's probably in line with many other smartwatches (not sure really as I haven't looked at many). If I had the disposable income I'd seriously consider it.

Cortana would likely be unable to control herself with excitement at the enormous weights I lift down the gym each night, and would quiver frantically until she was turned off and on again by the immeasurable levels of testosterone battering every sensor in that thing. They'd have to pull Bill Gates and Steve Bullmer out of retirement to patch that thing up 24/7 as I defy measurement of my achievements over and over and over and get bigger and stronger and faster.

I mean I ran on the treadmill for TEN minutes last night! TEN of them!

PPHWWOOAAAARrrrrr! Step aside Master Chief! :)

wonder if they will xboxify it and give you achievements for say doing 1 mile of walking a day or such like might help motivate people

I'll pass thanks - not just on this but on ANY Internet-connected health monitor as I'm firmly of the belief that this is just another avenue to finding out information about you including in this case your heartrate, blood-pressure (maybe not now but at some point in the future), heart rhythm, exercise levels and so on. This information will the be sold to the highest bidder who may just happen to be a health insurer or mortgage company- I'b be getting offers on low cost funerals and weight loss clinics!
