"Hours of Work

Whilst the normal working day is Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 5.30pm, there is a need

to be flexible about hours in order to get the job done. Payment is not made in

respect of overtime; however, the Bursar may agree to time off in lieu for weekend or

out of hours work."

Past experience tells me to not bother.

Must have a degree! lmao

Agreed - experience and actually technical knowledge is so much more valuable.

In a recent recruitment exercise an applicant with Post-Grad degree in Computing and an MCSE could hardly complete a single task on the practical test given to all applicants.

Stupid, yes, but I would hope if someone with enough experiance submitted a CV, it wouldnt just be binned because they didnt have a degree.

That is of course, using the dangerous assumption that common sense would be used

I could travel to London - but no degree sadly! :p

Yet I could do the jobs hands down! I do feel degrees are somewhat over rated!

About the only usefull thing my degree taught me about my job is that degrees are irrelevant, none of the specialist stuff I learned has been of any use to me whatsoever.
