browolf Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 In the "north" and still no snow, near Blackpool. There's been hail and lots of rain. I blame global warming. Used to get snow here.
Sunnyknight Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 Who needs a weather channel when you have Eduweather. Snowing lightly in Shrewsbury.

Arreks Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 Seen pictures of snow in Yorkshire, lots of schools closed there today... Its knee deep here in America and everything is still open I think our 'murican buddies are all accustomed to heavy snow, I'm lucky to see maybe 1cm of snow a year (if that) down in the south of the UK - but at least when it does snow everything shuts down and closes!
CHR1S Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 About 1cm fallen over lunch here in sunny Birmingham. Hope it continues....
Garacesh Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 Snow/rain/'orrible slush here. Not the 1pm blizzard we were promised, but there's still time
Hawkeyez Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 If it was knee deep here, we would still be open. Very rare we close. Last time, was was the only Secondary/Academy still open in the County.
Dos_Box Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 Couple of showers overnight but melted quick and a few scattered showers today in Preston. Nothing settling though. I'll bet @Joanne up in the Pennines (a mere 25 mins away) is getting hit
tech_guy Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 Nowt here in the magnificent Midlands - just cold, windy and wet.
Joanne Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 School was shut... Snow melted but it's a blizzard again now!

It helps that people have snow tires for winter and stupidly over sized 4wd trucks too. The snow plowing is all private too, people just put plows on the front of their trucks and drive down the road, its a pain after you have just cleared the pavement outside your house and one drives down and dumps all the snow on it...
SchoolsBroadband Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 errr famous last words its dumping it down all of a sudden
LiamH Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 This was a few days ago, snowed a lot more since then!
