What about using a Ouija board in the house? Or you could go all Paranormal Activity and rig lots of night vision cameras around the house and document it? Edited by BassTech

Never really knew what they do other than the 'open the doors to evil spirits bla bla bla'?

Again no, i'm not putting up cameras.....

It can't hurt you...

unless it launches the TV at your head. You tried talking to it?

Talk to a ghost? I'm already nutty as it is, anyone sees me doing that, i'll be in a mental home.

Guess i could try when no one is around. Say hello.... maybe bring a tub of paint and see if it does anything. I think i'd faint if it did!

if everyone is in the room at the same time, just give it an, "Alright ghosty, how's it going?". Ghost will soon get fed up of your inane small talk and leave...

They're for talking to the dead, apparently. See what they/it wants? I've never used one, but my Dad did when he was a lad and won't go near the things now, back when he tried it he said the glass shot across the room and smashed, and all of the candles went out! Not sure myself, but he gets all scared when I try and ask him about it, like he's been traumatised :o

I believe, from an experience i had about 10 years ago. Also my mum has also seen a ghost. Glorious sunny day and a man dressed in old Edwardian costume, she thought it strange at the time but thought no more about it until she went on a ghost walk around our town. When they got to the location she had seen him the guide started to detail exactly what he was wearing.

Yes! We're not the only ones. Thank god. Though that seems even creepier seeing it in some way or another!

from the ghost walk I went on they told us 1 in 10 people will see a ghost but only 1 in 10 of those people will realise what they have seen.

A thought keeps going through my head....

Ghosts are.... ghosty right.... as in they can't touch anything.... so.... how did the handle go down and back up with the door opening.... like.... that seems entity based. We don't have a pet... no windows were open in the kitchen... and even if it was... WIND doesn't do that!

I'm sounding coo coo, i feel like i am by reading this over.... but.... i dunno. *shakes head*

I have seen things that I cant explain -

Being in an empty house and hearing someone walk upstairs and watch the shadow pass the room but no one being there.

Driving to a friends house I had never been to before and recognising the road, houses and trees from a dream (before google street view)

My dad also saw the lady that haunts my Uncles pub, the grey lady and hes not one to lie about things like that.

I cant explain these, yet I still don't believe there are ghosts...

Pfft. Ghosts.

You've just been overclocking again, haven't you? Turned your fans up far enough to start blowing utensils off the wall in downstairs rooms.

I would also like to see more dinosaur ghosts plz.

Meh, cynic ahoy! Material shifting, changes in temperatures that can warp, even ever so slightly, frames and hinges, often enough to open doors that are otherwise solid. As for locks though - again, cynicism rules over that one as well as flying fish slices. My parents and grandparents live in 4-500 year old cottages, they're a little spooky in the dark at night but never seen or experienced a thing. It would take an apparition that could move things in front of me to make it believe.

Failing that, have you tried reading the "Similar Threads?" Apparently Norton have a product that can help with ghosting...

Yeah i've heard sounds like footsteps upstairs ( while people asleep) when playing on my xbox downstairs... but i just assumed the floor boards are just contracting or expanding depending on the heat.... or something.... OMG I NEVER THOUGHT ABOUT THAT UNTIL NOW!!

Seeing a shadow... how are you not.... what! That's dodgely scarily WEIRD.

Mate, how are you not on the same level as me? surely.... that's proof-ish.... that there's some form of entity around.... O.O wow.....

Despite how convincing these things may seem, our senses are pretty bad at determining the state of the world around us. For a start, our vision is constructed largely by the brain as our eyes can only inspect a tiny part of the visual scene around us. Yet it seems an utterly convincing view of the world.

If you have a spare hour, listen to the Cracked podcast 'Your Memory Is A Filthy Liar'

You're right, ghosts don't move things. What you have my friend is a poltergeist
