Hopefully will see you another year
Little-Miss Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 (edited) I'm wondering if there's gonna be free mojitos... What day do people normally go on? I'm thinking the Friday. People turn up whatever day/s the school decides to release them from the basement, all pale and shading their eyes from the natural light... Edited December 11, 2014 by Little-Miss 1
X-13 Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 Yay Got the go ahead from the head teacher to go to BETT this year! My body is ready. It's my first time going so just wanted to know how you guys all tend to get there? I'll guide your hips into life. Also I get a bus. Takes ages. Is it free entry? Do you think we'd be allowed to go if there was a fee? and do EduGeek do anything special around this time, It'd be good to meet up with you all! Cheers Guys Pizza, beer, jokes, magic tricks...
abillybob Posted December 11, 2014 Author Posted December 11, 2014 My body is ready. Pfft. You hope it's ready. I'll guide your hips into life. Also I get a bus. Takes ages. I'd prefer the latter. But what bus and how is that organised? Do you think we'd be allowed to go if there was a fee? Can't argue with that. Pizza, beer, jokes, magic tricks... Thank you sounds like a better first date than what I did with the girlfriend.
X-13 Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 Pfft. You hope it's ready. I'd prefer the latter. But what bus and how is that organised? TFL decided to be bros. Can't argue with that. I'm sure you could if you really wanted to. Thank you sounds like a better first date than what I did with the girlfriend. Step up your game, son.

abillybob Posted December 11, 2014 Author Posted December 11, 2014 I think you're gonna need an adult.. Haha... it would help
CAM Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 Train from Shropshire to London Euston. London Underground (Northern Line towards Morden/Kennington via Bank Branch) to Bank. DLR (towards Beckton) to Custom House for Excel changing at Canning Town if needed.
Arreks Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 Oh I didn't even know it was held at ExCel, my MCM knowledge will finally serve me well!
elsiegee40 Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 (edited) Be afraid, be very afraid. Don't whatever happens let them scan you, you'll never hear the end! That's good advice for every stand. Either have a very improbable job title so that you won't be bothered... or demote your role to tea-boy/apprentice for the same reason. Of course, some people may have more than one badge so that they can be scanned by stands who they are really interested in Heaven only knows how they come up with the official attendance figures, because multiple badges are quite common! I am hoping to be there throughout and will bring the eduhobnob supply Edited December 11, 2014 by elsiegee40 1
CAM Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 Oh I didn't even know it was held at ExCel, my MCM knowledge will finally serve me well! MCM Vets always see Excel as a bit strange when it is full of business suits instead of cosplayers...
Dos_Box Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 We shall indeed be there. Once more with Smoothwall on stand E250 sandwiched inbetween Microsoft and Google. Of course, as always, be laying on free pizza at lunchtime as always as well as a plethora of freebies and other niceities that @VeryPC want you to cage fight for - More info on that closer to the time. So please do pop by and stop for a chat. We don't bite and it's always a shame to see members who post up after their visit that they didn't want to disturb us or felt nervous in meeting us so walked on by. Trust me, we're here to meet you all and can also give you directions if you are lost. BETT can be very stressful if its your first time (or even 10th!) which is why we're the only stand to have couches for our members use when you need to take a break. Can wait
